I've Been Waiting for You to Get Divorced for Ages

Classical beauty x aloof CEO

Yu Xi was born into an artistic family. She joined the National Arts Troupe in her teens, and by the time she turned twenty, she had become the troupe's principal dancer. One performance dazzled all of Pingjing, and her future seemed boundless.

Wealthy young men pursued Yu Xi in droves, but she turned them all down. Instead, she fell for a poor young man who seemed to have no presence at all in Pingjing.

People lamented that she'd been possessed by evil spirits and lost her senses, choosing to give up a life of luxury for a penniless man.

As everyone had predicted, three years of marriage brought nothing but chaos, and they ultimately divorced.

Yu Xi woke up to the truth: she was living in a novel. As the original wife of the male lead, before he made his fortune, she had devoted herself to being the perfect wife behind him, giving up her dreams and career to manage the household. In return, he betrayed her again and again.

It had all been an act of exploitation from beginning to end.

Her only purpose in the novel was to let the male lead drain her dry, helping him rise to success.

Now that she knew the truth, Yu Xi decided she was done playing along!

To hell with the plot. This woman isn't going anywhere!

Yu Xi threw herself into doing whatever she pleased. She divorced her scumbag husband at once, reclaimed her dreams, and returned to the brightest stage.

The moment she got her divorce papers, Yu Xi stood by the road and sobbed uncontrollably, grieving both her new lease on life and the sincere love she'd wasted on a dog.

A large shadow blocked the glaring sunlight. She looked up and saw the person who had been waiting behind her all along.

Meng Yuanting's gaze rested on her face, restrained and controlled, filled with a complicated mix of satisfaction and bitterness.

"Hehe, turn around and look at me..."

"I've been waiting a long time for you to get divorced."

He'd longed for this moment for three years and waited for it for three years. At last, she was divorced.
