Back in My Parents' School Days

Xie Yao had a dream start in life. Her father, Xie Cong, was a professor at a prestigious university, and her mother, Chen Zhihui, was a well-known entrepreneur. They were both exceptional talents of their generation, and Xie Yao had always looked up to them.

Until, after her college entrance exams, Xie Yao transmigrated twenty-five years into the past.

Confused, she followed the teacher into the classroom. The teacher pointed to the back. "You can sit with Xie Cong."

Xie Yao stared at her father, who was more than twenty years younger: ... Huh?

She frantically shook her new desk mate. "Where's my mom? Where's my mom? Where's my mom? Weren't you and she childhood friends, the two great heroes of No. 1 High School?"

Xie Cong replied calmly, "May I ask who your mother is...?"

"Chen Zhihui!"

A burst of laughter came from behind them. "You won't find the Big Sis around here."

Xie Yao finally found Chen Zhihui at the black internet cafe next door. She stared at her mother's brightly colored hair, dazzled. "Mom, when you were young... you sure looked young."

Chen Zhihui lit a cigarette. "What did you call me?"

Xie Yao's legs trembled. "...Big Bro!"

P.S. The focus is on family bonds and her parents' romance. I haven't written in ages, so this is just practice.
