Delusions

Chi Nian was born frail and has a spoiled, delicate temperament. Her father asked Shen Yan to look after her.

Shen Yan is young and accomplished, in control of the Shen family. He is meticulous, cold, and restrained.

They live under the same roof.

Shen Yan is neither gentle nor patient. His eyes are cool and indifferent, he never goes back on his word, and his cold expression makes it clear he would never comfort anyone.

And yet...

When Chi Nian falls asleep, Shen Yan carries her to bed.

When Chi Nian lies in a hospital bed, Shen Yan holds her hand.

When Chi Nian is confessed to by an upperclassman... Shen Yan calmly slips an arm around her waist:

"Who are you choosing?"

Rumors have been running wild at the Shen Group lately. They say President Shen brings a pretty young woman to work every day. He's usually stern and cold, but with her, he's tender and doting.

When Chi Nian hears this, she clears things up: "Shen Yan only looks after me like a little sister."

Later, Shen Yan lifts her onto the windowsill and kisses her lips:

"That's not true."

I submit only to you.
