Be Very Careful When You Have a Secret Crush

Song Mianmian was neat, well-behaved, and easy to overlook in a crowd, like a quiet cat that made no sound.

No one knew she had a secret crush on the golden boy, Li Jinnian.

She secretly kept everything of his and followed him around, watching where he went.

She was like a speck of dust, harboring wicked thoughts, an annoying shadow that simply wouldn't go away.

When she reached out to intercept a love letter someone had written to him, Song Mianmian was caught red-handed.

He was going to find out.

Song Mianmian quietly waited for her punishment.

Then

Li Jinnian lazily took the letter from her arms. "I don't accept love letters."

"But if it's from you, I'll keep it for now."

[I want to pluck the sun.]

Li Jinnian knew there was a girl in his class who was timid and afraid of him, and who would spend ages working up the nerve to take a single step toward him.

He was lazy to the core, but patiently pretended to be gentle around her, until they were at least half-familiar.

Then one day, he personally heard Song Mianmian tell someone else:

"Li Jinnian is just good-looking. He's got a terrible temper."

"When he gets mad, he hits people."

"Anyway, don't fall for him."

Li Jinnian stood nearby, laughing in exasperation.

Well, so she wasn't a little white rabbit after all.

Several years after graduation, at a class reunion, Li Jinnian waited for someone by the entrance. Their former class beauty passed by and said bitterly, "Did you and Song Mianmian break up? Congratulations, you finally saw her for who she really is. She was always pretending around you."

Li Jinnian frowned and cut her off. "I know."

The class beauty's breath caught.

Li Jinnian said coolly, "But I like it."

[I love how hard you try to love me.]
