Xin Miao was naturally overflowing with warmth. Ever since she was a child, she had taken every motherly role in make-believe games, and she loved looking after everyone around her.

After getting engaged to Yu Huaize, she took care of every aspect of her fiancé's daily life, acting as his assistant and practically his mom.

But on their wedding day, her fiancé left Xin Miao behind and ran away.

"I'm sorry. I can't stand the way you look at me like I'm your son. I can't imagine what life would be like if I married you."

Heartbroken, Xin Miao flew to an island to clear her head.

Sheng Miangu left himself on an obscure island, spending his days languid and drowsy, sleeping by the entrance to his own guesthouse.

Though he barely moved, his picture-perfect features still drew crowds of people who came just to see him.

Sheng Miangu was deeply displeased by all these people. But... there was one exception.

He had no temper at all with Xin Miao, letting her do whatever she wanted with him.

At first, Xin Miao instinctively tried to fix Sheng Miangu's habit of staying up all night and skipping meals. After a while, she suddenly realized what she was doing. "I'm sorry. Am I intruding on your private life and making you uncomfortable?"

Sheng Miangu: "...Please continue."

Sheng Miangu had let his hands, worth a billion, go to waste on the island for years. The first painting he made after recovering was titled "Miao Miao."

In the painting, Xin Miao smiles like a flower, and he keeps it treasured in his studio.

Outside the painting, Xin Miao is radiant and bright, and he holds her in the palm of his hand.
