[Third-person narration]
I transmigrated into a book about a wealthy family and its impostor and real young masters.
The protagonist is beloved by everyone: the lofty young master of the Lu family. But he's actually an orphan. Later, the real young master appears and gets himself into trouble, only to be repeatedly face-slapped by the protagonist.
Luckily, I have nothing to do with any of that. I'm an utterly insignificant background character in the book.
The kind and innocent protagonist, and the sunny, cheerful second male lead, are my college classmates. The third male lead, who becomes crazed and obsessive in the name of love, is my college roommate. The carefree, unruly fourth male lead later becomes my gaming buddy.
As for the first male lead, he's my friend from my previous life. Like me, he transmigrated into the book.
In the original story, all the male leads fall for the protagonist.
I calmly let the plot unfold while navigating the various love-triangle showdowns, occasionally correcting glaring injustices in the original story.
One day, that peaceful routine was turned upside down.
At the second male lead's birthday party, the first and second male leads were supposed to have a showdown over the protagonist. But instead of confessing to the protagonist, the second male lead gave me a present and said he hoped we could become close friends. And rather than being drugged as he was supposed to be, the second male lead was completely fine. My friend, the first male lead, was the one who got drugged.
My friend was acting a little strange that day. He grabbed me as I was about to go find the second male lead, and seemed to be asking me for help.
Friends help each other out, I told myself.
The next day, my roommate, the third male lead, saw the red marks on my neck. His smile didn't reach his eyes as he asked, "Who were you with last night, bro?"
The straight-laced second male lead stared at the marks, repeatedly losing focus. His voice sounded a little downcast. "D-did you fall for someone else?"
The carefree, rakish young master, the fourth male lead, blocked my way at the door and said coolly, "You're quite something. So who was it this time?"
Me: "???"
Thinking back, all the strange things began to change that day.
Not long afterward...
The homophobic second male lead, who was supposed to follow the childhood-sweetheart route and fall for the protagonist, said he might like me.
My once love-obsessed roommate said he had feelings for me.
The flamboyant, unruly fourth male lead asked if I would go out with him.
And my friend, the first male lead, said he'd been in love with me for a long time.
Things were starting to get out of my control.
The book's universally adored protagonist started hating me like a madman, saying I'd stolen everything from him.
As it turned out, I also had a secret identity I hadn't known about.
I was actually the real young master who was supposed to be repeatedly face-slapped in the book: the ill-fated minor character.
The real young master was supposed to be stupid and ignorant, crude and low-class, and despised by everyone.
But I'm different.
In my previous life, I built a business empire all by myself. In this life, I created a medical miracle in the field of scientific research. I'm good-looking, loved by people of all ages, have a lovable personality, a wide range of interests, and excellent social skills.
By the sound of it, I'm a domineering hero who's returned for revenge with a golden finger.

Here's a preview of my upcoming story, "I Found Out I Was an NPC Being Courted Before My Wedding." If you're interested, please add it to your favorites O3O
Yu Huaiye and his boyfriend have been together for five years. Their relationship is steady, and they're about to decide to get married.
His boyfriend is five years older, comes from a powerful, wealthy family, and succeeded in starting his own business while still young. He's the CEO of a well-known company, but not arrogant at all. He's steady, modest, and tactful, and their personalities suit each other perfectly.
On their fifth anniversary, his boyfriend proposes.
A luxurious restaurant, elegant music, and romantic red roses everywhere. For the first time, the reserved, mild-mannered man has made such a grand gesture.
Yu Huaiye is deeply moved. After thinking it over for a long time, just as he finally decides to begin a new chapter, a voice suddenly appears in his mind.
[System, Yu Huaiye's affection level has to be at 100% by now, right? We've been held up for five whole years, and Yu Huaiye looks surprised!]
[I thought it was strange when I entered this little world and got assigned an insignificant NPC as my target. Weren't the targets always protagonists before? Is there a bug?]
[My legs are getting tired from kneeling... Why hasn't Yu Huaiye taken the ring yet?]
The familiar voice and unfamiliar way of speaking nearly shattered Yu Huaiye's usual composure.
That night,
he turned down his boyfriend's proposal, politely saying they still needed time to think things over. Less than two days later, he broke up with him.
From that day on, Yu Huaiye's life began to spiral into chaos.
His shy, socially anxious new coworker kept running into him. After hearing the coworker's thoughts, he discovered that the timid man was a dark, crawling yandere who secretly stalked him in a perverted way... and even called him his wife!
His longtime friend, a cold and sharp-tongued therapist who'd always been his confidant, turned out to have filthy, lewd thoughts about him after all.
His upright, dignified business partner seemed refined and well-mannered, but was actually a hypocritical, twisted pervert, harboring sordid and sinister desires for him...
Strange, abnormal things began happening in his life.
It all began with the so-called "System's courtship mission."
And he turned out to be a marginal background NPC being pursued by everyone.

The Lord God's Courtship Handbook is the latest hit full-dive dating sim in the interstellar world.
The proud young master of a prestigious arms-dealer family, the defiant and authoritarian iron-blooded general of a legion, an elegant and unflappable high-ranking Federation official, and even the honorable, mysterious crown prince of an enemy empire all received invitations to test the game.
Professor Yu is one of the most obscure NPCs in the game. He's known for his intelligence, but no one has ever paid him any attention.
The powerful players were randomly matched with him. At first, they all thought, "What a boring dating game."
Until one day,
this little NPC's settings began to go haywire. The game went out of control and even threatened the players' lives.
The Federation ordered an immediate shutdown.
On the first day the game was closed, a high-ranking Federation official emailed the relevant department.
On the second day, the young master of the Federation's most powerful arms-dealing family, the Song family, personally called the department.
On the third day, the iron-blooded general of the Federation's strongest legion went to the department to ask about it.
On the fourth day, the crown prince of the Empire parked a starship outside the person in charge's home.
The interstellar network erupted with discussion. The NPC's loss of control had attracted public attention.
The person in charge had no idea what kind of magic an artificial intelligence could have. With no other choice, he gritted his teeth and reopened the game.
The day the game restarted,
it exploded across the trending topics.
The entrance to the relevant department was blocked by several powerful figures who were usually impossible to catch a glimpse of. All the big shots had gathered in one place.
Cold and forceful, arrogant and domineering, they demanded that the person in charge find the missing NPC.
Theme: Keep pushing beyond your limits
I really like the first half. When I read the main text a few days ago, I was either angry or aggrieved for the first time. It was very hard to keep up with it, and the author's expectations were too high. I felt like I had been deceived, and it gave me a stomach-churning feeling... But I can listen to the feedback from readers, which is great tt
It's been two months, I came here to look and it seems like I haven't revised the article yet. ? The ending is rushed and unfinished, the writing is unsatisfying, and the villain keeps jumping around and being disgusting... You know that the readers are not satisfied, so you have to revise the article yourself, but I look at the chapter editing time, and two months have passed and one chapter has not been touched. Is this your method? Because a bunch of readers expressed dissatisfaction in the comment area, you said you would revise the article to win the support of readers. Everyone's tone has changed to just revise the article, it doesn't matter, keep working hard. The comment section is having fun now, but you just ran away??
This book is very good, but the ending of the fake young master Lu Yan I feel is too kind to him. Although Mrs. Lu is silent, I hope she can completely see through the fake young master's true face and expose him.
Damn, this is too unpleasant. Why does Eleven still want to remain friendly with the Lu family? Although Eleven is a rookie in the business world, the boss is not without a temper, right? Or break up, I don't accept to maintain the superficial peace, because peace is for those who have eyes, never meet each other, meet each other only as strangers, the Lu family does not deserve to enjoy the friendly attitude towards strangers in Eleven.
Isn't the ending a bit rushed? I feel like the Lu family is not mentioned much, including Grandpa Lu who appears in the article, and the things that the fake young master did are not revealed. Why is it not mentioned in the later part of the foreshadowing?
I really want to see what happens to this fake young master who keeps targeting us Lin Bao. I'm so speechless!
I was really impressed by the bad ending... The emotional line was a piece of shit, Lu Neng was jumping right to the last minute, the male protagonist didn't confirm the relationship until chapter 90, and it was only in chapter 70 that the male protagonist was chased by a bunch of people in the first part of the story, and Xie was silently jealous the whole time. All I can say is that the writing is terrible. It's so bland that I can't see the sweetness in it. The ending is so rushed. It feels like I've been scolded too much and just finished it hastily.
After saving some time, I came back and finished reading it. I didn't like the writing so I bought it. But I finished it today. It's hard to comment. How could it be written like this? It was obviously very good at the beginning, but the ending was rushed. But when it reached the climax of the writing, it stopped abruptly. I felt like nothing was explained clearly. I know Lin Yuji doesn't care about the Lu family, but let's talk about what happened to Lu Yan at least.
It's so disgusting, Lu Yanshi is disgusting from beginning to end, and the author also writes a bunch of disgusting descriptions. Can this article be labeled as a cool article? It's so disgusting, it doesn't feel good at all, and makes people who read it feel angry. It still sucks in the end!! I'm really convinced, what the hell is this?
That's it? Isn't it that SB is so selfish and disgusting, and it's over without any retribution? Oops, that's awesome, unsubscribe
