[Third-person narration]
In an ABO world, I became the book’s hypocritical, twisted major villain.
The shou lead was an Omega with the highest-grade pheromones in the book. Any Alpha who caught a whiff of his pheromones would go banging their head against a wall for him.
To pursue his dream, this tragic Omega, born in a poor and underdeveloped district, hid his Omega identity and enrolled in the Federation’s First Military Academy.
Gong One was a rich young man from a powerful family of top-grade Alphas: handsome, wealthy, and arrogant. He was the shou lead’s roommate. Gong Two was the commander of the Federation’s First Legion, the military unit that trained at the academy: high-ranking, powerful, cool, and severe. Gong Three was a star pirate who had amassed untold riches while concealing his identity. For now, he was an ordinary school doctor at the academy, and presented himself as gentle and agreeable.
As the villain, I repeatedly picked fights with the shou lead. On top of competing with him for first place in our daily studies, I squeezed into his shared dorm room, followed him to the infirmary whenever he got hurt, stole his big moment by outperforming him during legion training, and maliciously sabotaged his romantic pairings. I was wicked beyond belief.
Of course, to everyone else, I was always the shou lead’s good friend.
At the academy, I diligently carried out my villainous duties. Outside of school, I also had plenty of side jobs.
The games in this world were incredibly realistic, and by chance, I became a game streamer.
People loved watching mech combat, battlefield duels, and battles against the Zerg. I made a lot of money this way, and even had several top-ranking big spenders tipping me.
One day.
The legion’s simulation exercise opened up this software.
The cool and aloof legion commander introduced it as a professional military simulation app. It contained many excellent examples, some of which were already being used on the battlefield.
In the most prominent spot at the top of the rankings, I saw my username: Villain Big BOSS.
The cool and aloof legion commander: “The villain’s combat tactics have been successfully applied on the battlefield. The Federation has awarded him the StarNet Warrior Medal.” (I thought that was a gaming award.)
The arrogant roommate: “He really is a little better than me. I follow him and support him.” (I had no idea he was one of my top-ranking big spenders.)
The gentle school doctor: “Students who haven’t differentiated yet should be careful about how long they use their mental power in combat.” (I have no pheromones, so of course I don’t need to worry about that.)
The shou lead: “The villain has always been a good person.” (Sigh, my friend still doesn’t know the villain’s true evil nature.)
This might well have been the villain’s finest hour, and I was so embarrassed I could barely stand it.
Caught up in the excitement, I streamed continuously for three days. Games always got me too worked up, and by the time I came to my senses, I was already a little dazed.
My good friend, the shou lead, found me just as I was about to lose consciousness.
He smelled so good. I couldn’t help wanting to rub against him.
My friend had always indulged me, but this time he didn’t. He stared at the back of my neck and asked, “Do you know who I am?”
The cool, deep fragrance grew stronger, mingled with the scent of wine. I was a little drunk and called his name.
Then he carried me back to bed.
When I woke up the next morning, I was in my friend’s arms. The strong scent of Alpha pheromones clung to me, and my legs were especially sore.
I stared at the ceiling, still a little confused.
I pulled free of the shou lead’s arms and frowned at him. “Who are you, exactly?”
He held me fast. His expression was still gentle as he lowered his eyes and kissed my fingertip. “Your husband.”
Me: “...”
