The Evil God Always Does as He Pleases

Gu Xiang'an wakes up in a morgue.

The deadly cold in the morgue, the zombies wandering the hallways, and the constant player-death notifications ringing in his mind do nothing to scare him.

He reflexively gives a faint smile and ends the farce with brutal efficiency.

“You think this little trick could keep me trapped? You clearly haven't mastered your craft.”

Gu Xiang'an, a former player famous for violently breaking through dungeons in the Infinite Game and now an Evil God, casually tosses aside the murder weapon and mocks the junior Evil God he has driven into a corner:

“Ah, I guess I became a god too early. The players who came after me have already forgotten, haven't they?”

Then he lowers his lashes and murmurs in a “bitter” tone, “My dears~ You're so fickle~”

Fickle enough to make him positively delighted~

The Infinite Game has existed for so long that its origins are impossible to trace. Across countless worlds and rounds of the Infinite Game, all players who achieve final victory are accepted by the Infinite World and elevated to Evil Gods.

They usually wander only within their own domains and have no contact with other Evil Gods.

Until one day

System: Dungeon world 756763 confirmed. Dungeon world 25689 has escaped the control of the Main God. Exclusive Evil God mission issued:

[Exclusive Evil God Mission: Find and fix the bug that caused the dungeon world to escape]

[Reward: Control of the dungeon world]

The forum erupted in a tidal wave of excitement:

[Wow, when was the last time a world escaped? Nearly a thousand years ago, wasn't it? (hesitant)]

[Boohoo, a world has finally escaped! I've been waiting so long for this day! At last, I get to watch them fight!]

[I feel bad for the Main God, but I really love watching the final victors from each round gather and slaughter one another.]

[But why are you all so sure they're going to fight?]

[Don't be silly. They're all Evil Gods~]

At the same time, Gu Xiang'an was reading the forum posts and remarked lazily,

“What a bunch of fun-loving weirdos.”
