COS transmigration has been out of fashion for ages, especially the once-popular trope of cosplaying the Port Mafia and getting transported into Bungo Stray Dogs. That's old news now.

Still, just in case, my friends and I, all passionate about COS, decided to cosplay our own versions of the Decay of the Angel: Fyodor, Dazai, Ranpo, and Shibusawa.

You ask who the fifth person is? Could it be that the Decay of the Angel only has four members? (Laughs.)

But then the unexpected happened. The COS transmigration rule may be late, but it never fails to arrive. Only, we didn't end up in Bungo Stray Dogs. We ended up in the world of Detective Conan. (Closes eyes.)

Looking at the four silhouettes in the manga preview on the official manga forum that had automatically linked to our phones, and at the main story progress in our group chat app, we fell into deep thought. So this was what we had to do to get home.

Ha, what a coincidence! All four Bungo Stray Dogs characters we cosplayed are members of the plot team. This is exactly what we're best at.

And so...

After cosplaying the Decay of the Angel, we thrive in the world of detective stories!

The [Demon]’s turn

As people around him cried out in fear, Fyodor sat quietly in the crime scene, drinking black tea. His strange behavior caught Conan's attention, but as a detective, Conan was more concerned with the scene, so he decided to look for clues first.

Fyodor: ...

Fyodor: Isn't it obvious that man is the culprit? Why is he still at the stage of looking for clues?

Fyodor didn't understand. He decided to deal with the culprit first so he could meet up with his friends, and so...

Culprit: Waaaah! Thank goodness that kind Russian man talked some sense into me. Otherwise, I would have stayed lost in my delusions forever, waaaah...

Conan's eyes widened in shock: This man really is something else! What did he do?!

Innocent Fyodor (who used his powers of brainwashing without meaning to): I only kindly advised him...

The [World's Greatest Detective]’s turn

After going through a period when no one understood him, Ranpo was taken in by the Decay of the Angel (author's setting), but wherever he went, he could still put his talent to use.

Customer number one: Um... what should I do?

Then he rambled on about his troubles.

Ranpo, sitting in a chair, casually swinging his legs and munching on snacks: Isn't it simple? All you have to do is... (and so on). But in the end, the great detective will definitely catch you!

Customer number one: I get it. You're dropping me a hint!

Then customer number one went to commit the crime and ran into Ranpo at the scene. That only made him more certain. Seeing that the crime had unfolded exactly as he'd described, and that customer number one was plainly the culprit, Ranpo immediately told the police the truth.

Customer number one, after being caught: I don't regret doing all this for you! If it weren't for you, I never would have been satisfied...

Ranpo: ? This person is weird.

Later, there were customer number two, customer number three...

The dark-skinned detective, who noticed some kind of connection between the culprits and Ranpo: Damn it! There has to be a link! I'll find your weakness!

The [Schemer]’s turn

At the liquor company, Dazai's unparalleled methods earned him the codename Godfather without question.

Just like the name of his drink, he does whatever he wants.

Everyone at the liquor company knew about him, because a saying went around: The most unfortunate thing about being his enemy is being his enemy.

The [Collector]’s turn

Only Shibusawa Tatsuhiko diligently works on building his clothing brand, striving to cover his friends' expenses.

Shibusawa Tatsuhiko: ...This family would fall apart without me.

In the end, looking at the four of them thriving in the world around them, Conan and the dark-skinned detective couldn't help but shout: Who are you people? And why are you using the names of famous writers?

They smirked, then answered with a smile:

"Us? We're just the [Decay of the Angel]."
