[Blurb]
One day, Chi Bai, a game streamer, received an invitation to beta-test Yokohama, a full-dive game primarily built around simulated criminal cases.
Marketed as a second world with extraordinary abilities and a high degree of freedom, the game attracted enormous attention as soon as its beta was announced. The only condition for beta testers was that they livestream their gameplay.
Chi Bai: A godsend!
Fans: ...He's going to pull some ridiculous stunt again!
There was a reason for that: Chi Bai always liked to improvise while playing games.
But Chi Bai refused to accept that! To prove his skills, he immediately entered the game!
[Dear player, greetings!]
[Welcome to the second world: Yokohama.]
In the first case, Chi Bai was assigned the role of the criminal.
The players had barely begun marveling at the incredibly lifelike virtual world when they noticed Chi Bai had run into a famous detective whose ability was [Super Deduction].
Fans: It's over, it's over. This is game over for sure.
But after a moment of shock and thought, their streamer unexpectedly came up with another brilliant improvisation.
Chi Bai (raises a finger.jpg): Wait, I've got a plan!
The fans watched their streamer go after the famous detective: ...Okay, okay, so you're turning it into a dating sim? You really know how to play!

After going through several missions with the famous detective NPC, Chi Bai couldn't help suspecting that the NPC had awakened!
After the first mission, the detective could always tell which one was him almost immediately. Not only that, he would ask for Chi Bai's real name and help him clear the missions.
As his fans flooded the internet with their CP shipping, Chi Bai even accepted that he now had an NPC wife, despite the fact that the NPC was based on a real person.
But it was fine. The real world and the game were separate! As long as the other person didn't show up at his door, Chi Bai could pretend he knew nothing about it.
Until someone speculated that all beta data would be wiped when the game officially launched.
As players announced that they were going to win Ranpo over before he could, everyone, including Chi Bai himself, thought their CP was about to break up.
But the NPC reacted in a way completely different from before.
He immediately turned down that player's advances and came to Chi Bai, holding out a hand.
"You idiot. Are you just going to stand there and watch?"

Later, someone reported the incident as a bug to the game's developers, but received this response:
[Official response: Our investigation found no bugs in the game.]
[Official response: Regarding this character's inability to be won over, our discussion concluded that the character is devoted to one person and can no longer be won over by any player other than Chi Bai. We apologize.]
