Synopsis

One day, after coming home from work, Shirakawa Natsuo discovered he had received a game as a gift: Port Mafia Simulator.

Seeing two familiar figures on the cover, he started playing, his heart full of anticipation.

Day 1 of the game:

[System: You have met a Port Mafia executive, Nakahara Chuuya.]

[System: Nakahara Chuuya fell in love with you at first sight.]

Shirakawa Natsuo: ...?

It made no sense, but Shirakawa Natsuo kept playing.

Day 6 of the game:

[System: You have met a Port Mafia executive, Dazai Osamu.]

[System: He found out that Nakahara Chuuya likes you. He is suspicious of your getting close to Nakahara Chuuya.]

Shirakawa Natsuo: Now we're talking!

But the good times didn't last. Some time later:

[System: Dazai Osamu has fallen in love with you.]

[System: He has decided to make the first move.]

Shirakawa Natsuo: ...

This can't be right! Isn't this a simulator? How did it turn into a dating game?!

When Dazai Osamu returned from a business trip, he noticed that Nakahara Chuuya seemed to have fallen for someone. With mischief in mind, he decided to meet this person behind Chuuya's back.

If the person was a spy, he could use it to mock Chuuya. If there was nothing suspicious about their identity, he could get between them.

But the moment he saw the other person, he saw a complicated expression cross their face: anticipation, pain, delight, reluctance...

The closer he got, the deeper Dazai found himself falling, because this person seemed born to perfectly match every one of his preferences. But the more he learned, the more he realized that this person seemed to have already given their heart to someone else, without realizing that Dazai loved them.

Considering the way they had acted when they first met, Dazai suspected the person they loved resembled him in some way.

He was displeased, but with an ulterior motive in mind, he decided not to tell them. In fact, he planned to take the other person's place.

Only later did Dazai understand: there was no such thing as being born a perfect match. Someone else had simply colored this person's world in the shades he loved first...

And, more awkwardly, that person was his counterpart.
