[Harry Potter] Bewitching the Heart

(Note left on May 8, 2026: I'm rewriting and revising this story because there will be major changes. I've locked the later chapters for now, so please add it to your favorites and wait a bit.)

Yang Miya, who grew up in Miaojiang, was hit by a man who fell off a broom when she was eleven.

He said he was her father and had come to take her to school in England.

Yang Miya: This has to be a scam, right? But scams are this sophisticated now? Not Southeast Asia, but England?

And just as she'd turned her home in England upside down, she really did receive an acceptance letter from Hogwarts School of Witchcraft and Wizardry.

"Dear Miya, I knew you'd be the best wizard." Her father dramatically pulled out a handkerchief to wipe away his tears.

"What's a wizard? Are they powerful?" Miya asked blankly, gripping the owl by the back of its neck. "Are they as powerful as these?"

She pointed to the jars full of all kinds of venomous insects and the emerald-green snake coiled in its glass tank.

Rotes: ...Promise me you absolutely won't take those things to Hogwarts. I can't imagine the chaos that would cause.

Miya: Got it. Then I'll just put a curse on someone and take them along.

Draco, under a curse: ...

The rules of the Malfoy family include ambition, family, honor, and duties one is born to fulfill.

Learning to live by the rules is a required lesson for every Slytherin.

But in Miya's rules, there is only one person: Draco Malfoy.

A few things to know before reading:

1. Pairing: Draco. All character headcanons and OOC elements are mine. This is a passion project written for myself, so please be gentle. Not for profit.

2. With the new series being filmed, I'm rewriting an old story. There will be lots of new details and other plotlines, and I'll also revise or remove many parts of the old story that I wasn't happy with.

3. I'll try to avoid plot holes, but this is still fanfiction, so some things will change.

4. The story starts with the second book, Chamber of Secrets. The heroine has little empathy and does only what she believes is right. Draco will be adjusted somewhat from the original. This is about two mischievous people growing up together and saving each other.

5. I don't write bad endings. Every element of the story will serve a happy ending.
