Gu Mu Mu was sitting outside the police academy with her legs crossed, reading the paper, when she spotted "The Latest Masterpiece by Kudo Yusaku" in the headline and realized she had transmigrated to the Detective Conan world.
By then, the future blond-haired, dark-skinned public security officer had walked up to her and politely asked, "Excuse me, classmate, your name is...?"
Gu Mu Mu's brain didn't kick in. She blurted out, "Hello, I'm Konomi Kazuko."
Furuya Rei: ?
Gu Mu Mu's name wasn't actually Konomi Kazuko. Since she couldn't be the protagonist, she didn't deserve such a distinctive name. Her real name was Asahina Harune, which wasn't exactly earth-shattering either.
Even though she was reborn into an incredible police academy setup from the start, she was so useless she couldn't even lift eight hundred grams. Even opening a bottle cap was a challenge, so she obviously had no chance of becoming anyone remarkable.
She did want to save the people whose fates were too painful to accept, if she got the chance.
But Gu Mu Mu was just an ordinary person. No System, no cheat abilities. The only thing that could be called her golden finger was the unfinished plot in her head. She had studied finance, but wasn't smart enough to become a code-name agent and complete the dangerous circulation of funds. She knew how everyone died, but not how to save them.
When she faced danger, she would back down, feel afraid, and selfishly want to survive, clinging to the faint hope that she might return to the world where the people who loved her were waiting.
She was grateful to everyone in this world. In the end, she became a competent police officer. Competent, though, not outstanding.
1. No CP. A sunny, funny, laid-back college girl reincarnates as a resentful police officer who is useless at everything, and keeps wondering if she was reincarnated into the wrong person.
2. An ordinary female lead who truly can't do anything. In the Detective Conan main plot, lacking ability is a fatal flaw. Her only strength is that, despite being full of complaints, she remains optimistic. Her one real skill is humbly accepting criticism and never changing.
3. The female lead values her life and wants to go home, so she seems a little timid most of the time. That's normal, because ordinary people really do find it hard to throw themselves in front of a bullet to protect someone else.
4. She saves the police academy group from dying, but Harune only makes a tiny change, really.
Theme: If you're just an ordinary person, congratulations, you have the chance to grow.
