The Elementary School Life of the Scientific World, Exposed

[A lighthearted slice-of-life comedy with a slow pace and a relaxed tone. After the protagonist turns into a child, she joins the Detective Boys for some cozy everyday adventures.] [The unlimited-flow novel The Ninth Middle School Student Handbook is updating next door. The main story of the Detective Conan fanfic Red and Black: A Guide to Filler Dramas is complete. It's a serious, no-CP plot focused on a battle of wits between the red and black sides. Feel free to check it out if you're interested!] Furuya thought that if being targeted in turn by Gin's bombs and machine guns on the day the Organization was destroyed was the second most terrifying thing in the world, then the most terrifying thing was opening his eyes after everything was over and seeing his partner Sangria, who had smiled and shot herself just three seconds earlier, and his childhood friend with their faces right up against his. Furuya: "..." So he was dead too? No, even if this was another world, why were those two mixed up together?! Kitagawa Chiaki thought she must have had eight lifetimes' worth of bad luck to run into the blond man with dark skin on her first day of university, making him treat her with a strange hostility ever since. Sorry, I knocked you silly. I'll take responsibility, okay? So Kitagawa Chiaki summoned her courage and said, "A few meals." Furuya and Morofushi: ? - Kitagawa Chiaki had the dubious honor of being, as far as she knew, one of the few things Hikaru had found completely unbelievable in his life. Recently, she had earned a place on that list: he opened the door and found his eleven-year friend, namely herself, back with a child's face. What? She already had a baby face? Oh, then add that her body had turned into a child's too. While she glared at him as if she wanted to kill him, Mr. Furuya made up a new identity for her and sent her off to enjoy a happy elementary school life. And then she joined the Detective Boys. Kitagawa Chiaki: Wait, is this really how often elementary school kids run into crime cases?! Kitagawa Chiaki: Hiro, Zero! The nation's future flower, Chika-chan, needs youuuuu! Morofushi: Have some confidence, Aki. Even Public Security doesn't run into them this often! Furuya: LOL. - After getting whacked with a stick, Kudo got a new voice actor and transferred to Teitan Elementary School, where he was forced to repeat first grade. At first, he just thought the three kids in the Detective Boys were strange. Then he realized that Akiyama Chika, who had transferred at the same time as him, seemed even more suspicious. When he went to the Akiyama house with the Detective Boys to play video games, Haibara stared at Akiyama's older brother, her pupils shrinking to pinpricks. After barely making it off the train alive and exhausting his brain, he confidently told Haibara that Bourbon wouldn't show up again. To comfort her, he decided to take the Detective Boys on an outing. Conan politely knocked on the Akiyama family's door. And when the door opened, he found himself staring into the smiling eyes of an Organization member. ...Huh?!!!? Could it be Gin next time? Kudo wondered. 1. First things first: No CP, no CP, no CP. Strong friendship vibes. 2. The heroine is Kitagawa Chiaki (Aki)/Akiyama Chika. She's not a member of the plot-knowledge squad, but a reckless, sweet airhead. She gets hit by Gin with a stick at Tropical Land and receives a bonus APTX pill, then gets secretly assigned by the plot-savvy Tooru to the same class as Conan. Her life becomes absolute chaos. 3. Tooru transmigrates and saves the Police Academy group himself. 4. Kitagawa Chiaki is a law student at Tokyo University and a university classmate of Zero and Hikaru. When the two went undercover, she happened to be overseas studying in China. As soon as she came back and learned that her friend had faked his death, Chiaki was like: "???" 5. In another world, Chiaki really was Sangria, but in this world she has absolutely nothing to do with the Organization, so Zero eventually feels comfortable being her friend. (This may involve a slight butterfly effect?) 6. The plot is lighthearted and full of snark. This time it's genuinely lighthearted! Really! 7. Canon characters won't be dumbed down, but I'll give the Detective Boys a boost. All standards for intelligence and action will depend on the countdown. 8. As I write, the story may veer into the main plot for a while, but it will come back around. It can be divided into three types: everyday Detective Boys stories; the Detective Boys accidentally stumbling into the main plot without realizing it; and the adults getting involved in the main plot (Tooru and Hikaru feature most often, but these will make up no more than a third). This story will be paywalled starting October 21, from Chapter 25 onward. Please be careful not to click if you don't want to subscribe!
