[Currently revisiting earlier chapters to make the ending easier to wrap up]
Attention, everyone: This story belongs to the "After finishing a serious novel, I reward myself by writing a goofy one" series. It's all nonsense and out of character! All of it! Mostly first person, with occasional third-person perspectives. If you enjoy watching the chaos, come right in.
If you're looking for a serious story, turn left on your way out and read A Guide to Red and Black's Murky Waters, or follow the upcoming novel Failed Strike by a Pillar of the Organization. If you want something goofy... well, I'll keep trying my best here.
This story isn't really suited to my writing pace, and it's been a bit painful, but since I've started, I'll do my best to finish it.
If you can accept all that, keep reading this ridiculous blurb:
Takeno Harai always thought she was a brave, justice-loving citizen, with no ties to the underworld beyond the works she wrote and a few properties she rented out.
Until her first and second tenants teamed up and dragged her to the Japanese Public Security Bureau.
Takeno Harai: "I don't think I have anything to do with the Organization."
Hiro: "Oh, really? Then take another look at the house Zero and I rent, and at Gin next door and Rum downstairs, and say that again."
-
Ms. Takeno is the original screenwriter of the hit detective comedy The Great Detective Hirai, which has been popular in Japan for years. She just thinks her stories are inspired by real life, and is rather pleased with herself about it.
1.
When she heard that the detective who'd opened an agency next door had also sent a client to prison, Ms. Takeno was amazed.
"Doesn't he believe in covering up for your own kind?" she remarked to her neighbor.
Her silver-haired neighbor, Mr. Kurosawa: "I also think he's a real piece of work."
The next month, Takeno Harai spotted a criminal not far away, even though Mr. Amuro was supposed to have put him behind bars.
She suddenly understood, and promptly used the incident as inspiration for a new episode script.
Vodka, after watching TV: "Boss, the show says Bourbon recruited a senior Japanese Public Security official and can pull strings to let our members go."
Gin: "...It's a TV show."
2.
After barely escaping the Japanese Public Security Bureau, Mr. Akai returned to the safe house. As he explained to Gin that he hadn't betrayed the Organization, he turned on the TV.
Then he saw the latest episode of The Great Detective Hirai, in which a silver-haired FBI agent chased a black-haired Organization member.
Akai: "...?"
3.
Takeno Harai thinks she's an author with an excellent imagination.
Whether it's a drug that keeps people young forever or the existence of a mysterious organization, surely no ordinary person could come up with such wild ideas!
Rum, Gin, Vodka, Bourbon, and the others, painstakingly investigating whether the screenwriter is secretly behind everything: No, actually.
[Important] The female lead has no criminal record! None! It's all a misunderstanding. Happy ending, light comedy, short story written to fill a plot hole.
* The heroine is Takeno Harai (Lai). Her name means the arrival of sunny weather.
* Harai may not seem very bright, but she's rich.
* She's a bit of a silly, sweet, airheaded bird, an ENFP happy puppy. She's so naturally daft that she can unexpectedly say something incisive sometimes. That's a kind of strength too, right (?)
* But she truly loves this world with all her heart.
Upcoming novel: Failed Strike by a Pillar of the Organization
First things first: This is a serious story about a true member of the Organization, a highly refined egoist who stays evil to the end with no redemption. Evil gets what it deserves.
It belongs to the "After finishing a goofy novel, I reward myself by writing a serious one" series. I'll start it after finishing Life Exposed. The protagonist is Shimizu Chiaki, and it takes place in the first timeline of Furuya in Life Exposed. The ending will remain unchanged: Shimizu Chiaki (Sangria) commits suicide, just as stated in the blurb for Life Exposed.
I'm bad at writing blurbs, so this one's pretty rough. Please bear with me.
Every member who joins the Organization has heard of Sangria's reputation, to some degree.
She is the Organization's blade, its sharpest dagger, its most useful weapon.
She dislikes having a partner and is used to working alone, choosing reckless methods and completing the Organization's missions with ruthless efficiency.
But few people know the name Shimizu Chiaki.
She wants to be an ordinary little girl, a young woman, a woman. She wants to rest and occasionally do what she wants.
But she's too clever. She knows she can't take a different path from the life she's lived so far. So she's trapped in place, numb, seeking a final sense of existence by being praised.
Shimizu Chiaki has met many Organization members, and many unyielding undercover agents.
To each of them, she introduces herself by her codename: "Sangria."
Yes, the identity of Sangria is glamorous enough to let her live well. Continuing down this path is the most self-serving choice, and the one that maximizes her benefits.
So Shimizu Chiaki isn't all that important anymore.
Content warnings:
1. To say it again: This is a story about a true member of the Organization, with no redemption. So this time I won't save the Police Academy group. This hurts.
2. This story contains angst. There will be no happy life of undercover agents cuddling and kissing. I'll write about the choices everyone truly makes within the Organization. Don't expect Hiro to turn into a motherly caretaker and reform Shimizu Chiaki. The ending is already stated at the beginning. I believe it's the inevitable fate of a true member of the Organization, and a choice in keeping with Shimizu Chiaki's personality.
3. Canon-compliant. The timeline will stay mostly the same as the Detective Conan anime, and Shimizu Chiaki will have almost no impact. She won't do anything.
4. Sangria is very capable, extremely capable. She's excellent at hand-to-hand combat, good at sniping, and smart with a clear head. These are what she relies on to become Sangria and a senior member of the Organization. So the heroine is powerful throughout the story, within limits, of course. For example, she still can't beat Kyogoku. But within those limits, she's overwhelmingly strong.
5. Shimizu Chiaki is a highly refined egoist. She lives only for herself, even if she doesn't know how to live for herself.
Theme: Keep innovating, love imagination, and uphold justice.
I used to think that Kurokawa would be the leader of all divine cults, but he turned out to be a Japanese police officer with a good reputation. I was scared~
With big brother here, it's amazing that the crew can still have cases happen
Yorai: There are so many Shinichis. Let's just write the setting of face-colliding into "Detective Hirai"!
Teacher, why did you retreat? [Afraid]
Ahhhhh? ? ? No? ? So Yorai is the most innocent, right? Kurokawa is a Japanese police officer, 100% red. Yamabuki should be an underground doctor. He actually has an intersection with Sister Bei. It's a gray area. Oh my god. Moreover, Yorai's innocence is more about self-preservation. It feels like she understands everything. But she is also very smart. When she found something wrong, she knew it would definitely not be good for her and didn't think about it. Is this considered a wise person or a fool?
I'm speechless. I made up my mind to write articles before, and found that there are so many new ones here. I happily read the comics I follow. Three new ones have been updated...
Press claw. The garage incident came to an end inexplicably. [Sunglasses]
It may be a bit offensive, so please feel free to delete it if you wish. Although the writing of this article is very good, there is no very attractive suspense and no interesting chapters... You will even forget the plot if you quit. If the wife wants to write a long story and retain readers, she can improve it.
What is the relationship between the two young tamers, preparing for the protagonist to sneak away?
Ah, it's a tie. How come there are so few comments on such a good and ridiculing article?
