The Player Controlling Me Is a Noob Cutie

Chen Yu grew up poor and alone. He was born sickly, gasping for breath after every few steps and coughing up blood, and doctors said he would live to eighteen at most.

Before he even reached eighteen, though, he was transported into an infinite game world. A monster NPC dropped from the sky right in front of him, and it stared wide-eyed at him as he clutched a little knife.

After struggling to hack off one of the monster's hairs with two blows, he spat up blood three times and leaned against the wall, panting.

The monster was dumbfounded: ?

Chen Yu: "..."

Chen Yu's mental state collapsed. "Is my life some kind of game?! Can the player controlling me hurry up and delete their account? Stop playing! I live worse than an NPC."

As soon as the words left his mouth, a sweet, timid voice came from above:

"S-sorry. I'm really bad at this, but I'll do my best!"

"Ah! I finally found the game shop!"

"There's an item called the Magical Girl Star Wand. The pink one is so pretty... This one is pretty too, and it seems like it'd really suit you. Oh, don't die just yet! I'm almost done choosing!"

Chen Yu: ...?

The player controlling him is a total noob, with no skill and no experience. She hasn't read a single thing about the game's setting or plot.

She's also a sucker for pretty faces. Her favorite things are dressing him up and sneaking peeks at him while she does it.

Thinking he might still be salvageable, Chen Yu decides to fend for himself. Then he takes a look.

The main appeal is the contrast between an internet-addicted guy and an adorably hopeless girl.

This is self-indulgent writing, and somehow I've ended up writing another niche genre, hehe ( )
