How to Win Over a Teasing Cat

Yu Tao has had a crush on her senior fellow disciple for a long time. Her senior fellow disciple, Yu Li, is as cool and aloof as jade. He keeps everyone at a distance and ignores them, yet he's gentle and attentive toward her, the moment she joins the sect. In short, he has a double standard. Yu Tao, a hopeless romantic, is head over heels. This has to be a love where both people are moving toward each other! Then one day, she suddenly learns that she is a stand-in for the heroine in a tragic cultivation romance, and that Yu Li is the male lead. The only reason he's been so good to her is that she looks a little like the heroine. That night, Yu Tao drinks herself into a stupor and spends the whole night cursing him as a scumbag. Once she comes to her senses, she resolves to shut her heart away and never look at Yu Li again. After she avoids him for a few months, Yu Li corners her at the door. The young man follows behind her with his eyes lowered, like a cat that's been abandoned. His fingers are wrapped tightly around her wrist to keep her from leaving. He doesn't say a word, just holds on and refuses to let go. Unable to break free, Yu Tao deliberately needles him. "Senior Brother, why are you here looking for me? And who is that portrait hidden in your room? Don't tell me, don't tell me, it isn't me, is it?" The moment the words leave her mouth, the pale ears of the cool, distant young man before her turn crimson. His voice comes out stiff and halting. "...How did you know?" Huh?
