Ayla's power is a bargain-bin version of reality warping: she says something, and reality may or may not obey.
As a thoroughly unremarkable hero in the League, the socially anxious Ayla has two secrets: first, she transmigrated; second, she secretly writes steamy slash fanfiction about her colleagues.
But Ayla doesn't know that the day the Aether particles fluctuated, something went a little wrong with her power.
At a meeting, the Chair and the Consultant are arguing fiercely. Just as everyone in the League is collectively trying to mind their own business, a familiar voice suddenly rings out:
[Holy crap! Superman is even deliberately softening his pecs so Batman can poke them while they're arguing. Superbat, don't bring your bedroom routine to work, ahhhhhhh!!!]
Everyone looks at Superman's soft, sunken chest, their eyes suddenly sharp.
"..." Batman pulls his hand back with a dark expression.
Superman's steel-hard chest springs back into place, and he looks horrified. He didn't do it! He didn't!
Ayla is dumbfounded. [Where's my food? Where's my food!!! Mom and Dad, why did you suddenly stop shipping them??? Wait, this feeling is so familiar, like my power is activating... No way...]
The next second, both her personal phone and her League communicator ring at once.
[You haven't come home in 8,763 days. Alfred baked cookies. -Bruce]
[Coming home for dinner today? Martha and I miss you so much. -Superman]
Ayla: Eyes trembling in shock.
On the day Ayla's Superbat Daughter Experience Card expires, she is (forced to) have a heart-to-heart with Batman. Topics include, but are not limited to:
"Pick one of these 123 power-limiting plans," "You need supervision, so you don't have to move out of Wayne Manor," "The effects of the Aether particles can't be removed for now, but I'm Batman," and:
Superbat isn't real, Green Arrow and Red aren't a couple, Dick would never sleep with any of his brothers, no one in the world has ever experienced a second-gender heat, and under natural conditions, people of only the male sex can't get pregnant, along with other scholarly issues.
Ayla, out loud: "Okay."
Ayla, in her heart: [Then tell me, what is real? QAQ!!!]
Batman: "...Green Arrow and Black Canary."
Ayla, bewildered: "Huh?"
Bonus scenes:
1.
Ayla frets: [I want to print a not-safe-for-work comic as free merch for the convention, but who should I ask to draw it?]
Kyle, passing by, offers his card: "Ten percent off for colleagues."
2.
There is definitely something wrong with this convention. Specifically, Ayla's free merch includes:
Nightwing tops the whole world/
Batgirl tops the whole world/
Red Hood tops the whole world/
Red Robin tops the whole world/
Robin... Wait, Robin??!
Theme: Huh?
