Making Money to Support My Husband with a Trading System

Jing Yan transmigrated into the Song Dynasty as a sickly man, a hapless fellow who had just married a husband his uncle had bought for eight hundred copper coins. His husband was covered in wounds and looked like he might not survive a few days. To top it off, Jing Yan had been cast out of the family along with his infant younger brother, still wrapped in swaddling clothes.

The family’s entire fortune amounted to a rundown bamboo hut in the mountains, an old mat, two clay jars, and enough brown rice to feed two people for three days.

A disastrous start. The good news was that he had a PDD System that let him make money by buying and selling goods between the two worlds. The bad news was that his System balance was only three yuan, and nobody was buying the goods he listed because they had no exposure.

With no other choice, Jing Yan returned to his old line of work: making short videos to sell products. Before long, he had made a name for the local specialties he was selling.

With high-yield crop seeds, affordable seasonings in generous portions, clearance fabrics, exquisite glassware, and more, life in ancient times grew increasingly comfortable for Jing Yan.

But just as his life had finally gotten back on track, the Song Dynasty fell into chaos, and foreign forces invaded.

Only then did Jing Yan learn that his husband, whom he had finally managed to fatten up a little, was the son of a great general who had been framed by the emperor of the Song Dynasty. After the general died in battle, the emperor set his sights on Jing Yan’s husband. An imperial decree forced Jing Yan and his husband to head to the frontier and repel the invaders.

Supplies were scarce, military pay was embezzled, and the soldiers had to keep warm in animal hides and fill their stomachs with roots and snow, all while facing the savage enemy forces.

Jing Yan sighed and bought them large quantities of rice, meat, warm clothing, anti-inflammatory medicine, weapon blueprints, gunpowder, and more, doing his best to keep his husband supplied.

But while he was taking care of supplies, how had he ended up becoming emperor?

Early on, he farms. In the middle, he rebels. In the end, he becomes emperor.
