I'm Sakata Haruyama. Today I got my hands on a Demon Slayer Corps Online RPG. To get the best ending, I reload again and again. So I slay demons and strip off their clothes. Even if my character gets wiped out, I will strip every last piece of equipment off those demons!
Today my inventory is once again packed with 999+ wisteria-flower buns, made from 999+ wisteria-flower essence. Wisteria-flower buns are four for one yuan. Hey, you with the multicolored eyes, want to try one? I guarantee they're delicious.
Today I also collected 999+ snowflakes, enough to put on a free, 360-degree spinning snowflake show. Hey, tattooed guy, want to come watch a snowflake spectacular?
Today I also worked hard to learn Sun Breathing, but I had no talent for it. So I set my Nichirin Sword on fire, creating special effects in the most literal sense. Hey, red-eyed guy, want to try Sun Breathing?
My name is Kamado Tanjirou. I have a friend. He's strong and kind, and he keeps saving us from danger, but he always does strange things that leave me speechless.
Including, but not limited to:
He'll suddenly start jumping while walking. Whenever we're on a mission, he always pulls out brightly colored, gaudy clothes with a solemn expression and puts them on. They're so hideous I can't bear to look. He keeps saying, "This outfit increases agility."
The demon across from us: Confused as always.
Then one day, I saw him carrying a banner that said, "Tomioka-san isn't disliked." He was also holding a custom-made shirt from who-knows-where that read, "I'm not disliked." He even tried to teach Tomioka-san to laugh as cheerfully as the Flame Hashira. The results were impressive: now Tomioka-san wasn't the only one being disliked.
Finally, I couldn't help asking him why he always came up with such outrageous ideas. He just gave me a brilliant smile and said:
"I'm just an ordinary, unremarkable demon slayer."
I looked at the demon under him, screaming, "Stop chasing me!" while stripped of all its clothes and equipment, and fell silent.
After one demon-slaying mission after another,
I, Kamado Tanjirou, finally understood.
My friend's behavior always makes my blood pressure rise, but at least my friend makes the demons' blood pressure rise even more than ours.
In the end,
I looked at everyone's happy faces, listened to his voice, and watched his smile.
The wisteria bloomed brilliantly, and he smiled at me. "Thank goodness, Tanjirou. Everyone survived."
My nose stung with tears. Beside me, Zenitsu burst into tears too, while Inosuke turned his head away and grunted without saying anything.
Miss Shinobu smiled, though her eyes were red.
Even Tomioka-san's shoulders shook gently.
I stepped forward and held him tightly, my voice choking with emotion.
That's right, everyone survived.
The ordinary days we once took for granted were a miracle he had won with all his might.
Please note before reading:
The main story is told in third person. The male lead has no romantic pairing; everyone is written as friends.
At its heart, this is a silly comedy, with lots of original worldbuilding.
If you don't like it, you can stop reading.
Here's a preview of my next story. Blurb:
After my mother died of an illness, I was left alone. To make ends meet, I had no choice but to disguise myself as a boy and go to the city to find work.
But unexpectedly, I ran into a man-eating demon on the way, and a kind demon slayer introduced me to a place I could go.
The trainer asked why I had come, and I gave him a bewildered smile. "I heard the pay was good, so I came."
After a series of twists and turns, the trainer eventually took me in. There, I met a boy my age whose name included the character for rabbit.
What a cute name.
But he kept putting a sword in my hand and shouting, "A real man should pick up a sword and train hard!"
Something didn't seem right, but for the sake of the pay, I had no choice but to pick up the sword and get back to training.
Then one day, the place where I worked gave me my uniform. I stared at the uniform with its low-cut neckline and skirt that barely covered my thighs, and fell silent.
The boy my age who had come with me finally realized too. "You're a girl?!"
His usually pale face turned bright red, redder than a tomato.
After that, he became even more careful around me. Before, he had always blurted out things like how a real man should act. Now, whenever he saw my face, he would turn bright red and mumble, "So it wasn't my understanding that was the problem."
Please note before reading:
The romantic pairing is the bunny boy.
The main story is told in third person.
Enjoy, and feel free to stop reading if it's not for you.
