Bai Xi transmigrated to a world full of the strange and uncanny. The sky here was gloomy, without a trace of sunlight. The ground was barren, with no greenery, and bizarre creatures roamed everywhere, making it dangerous.
But Bai Xi was happy, because he had a family now, even if his family members were all a little strange.
His dad was as huge as a mountain, with lots of tentacles. Yet he would gently let Bai Xi sit on his head and use his tentacles as a slide, and he loved calling him his good little baby in a gooey voice.
His mom was beautiful and gentle, and her thick fur could wrap little Bai Xi up completely. She just had a few too many eyes, and her eyes would fight over which one Bai Xi looked at, much to his dismay.
His big brother was mighty. When he spread his wings, they seemed to cover half the sky. The problem was that his brother had too many heads. To keep him from feeling hurt, Bai Xi made sure to cuddle every head equally, leaving him exhausted afterward.
His big sister was fun. She could grow all kinds of flowers on her body, each a different variety. The flowers just had bad tempers, and sometimes they would fight fiercely over which one got to sit on Bai Xi's head. So Bai Xi had to keep time and change the flowers on his head right on schedule.
Though this world was strange and bizarre, Bai Xi was content, because his family loved him very much.
He really was so happy.
Something bizarre had happened in the Strange World recently. A place where pollution levels had been off the charts for years, filled with madness and bloody violence, had suddenly acquired a little cub out of nowhere.
The cub was a tiny fox, no bigger than a palm, an obvious outsider who was expected to die within two seconds.
But every major monster who went to pick on him came back empty-handed, claiming the cub had tormented them instead.
Victim Monster 1: I don't know! He just looked at me, and my tentacles and thoughts started fussing over the cub against my will. It was downright supernatural!
Victim Monster 2: This is ridiculous. I went there to skewer the cub, but when he pounced on me, my sharp fur softened on its own. My eyes even started fighting for no reason over who got to meet his gaze. :)
Victim Monster 3: That cub really is a monster! I brought out all my heads at once, but instead of going mad, he came over and cuddled each one...
Victim Monster 4: My flowering branches can absorb any living creature as nutrients. But when it came to the cub, they betrayed me, happily becoming decorations on his head, while the rest eagerly vied for a chance to take their place. I've never heard of anything like it!
The other monsters, curious: So, can we get the cub?
The victim monsters: ...Get lost! No!
The day pollution swallowed everything, all living beings mutated. They were forever accompanied by madness and violence, and spreading infection became their mission.
Then a little cub fell from the sky, and they regained the ability to think and reason.
Theme: Healing pain takes a great deal of love.
