After I Cried at the Wrong Grave

Bai Yu has been prone to uncontrollable tears since he was little. The slightest excitement makes tears stream from his eyes, so the grandfather who adopted him thought he was born to be a fine funeral wailer.

Maybe he cried too much, because Bai Yu's eyesight isn't very good. The first time he went alone to the family cemetery, he cried at the wrong grave.

How did he find out?

Of course... of course the client came up and told him in person.

Bai Yu can see them.

And seeing one only makes him cry harder, so much that he can't stop. The client ends up crouching beside him, patting his shoulder and comforting him.

But this time, it seems he has cried at the grave of someone rather extraordinary.

The other is dressed in red...

Bai Yu: Quick question: is there still time for me to run?

Lin Xun died a terrible death and was so consumed by resentment that he couldn't be reincarnated. The Judge of the Underworld happened to be on vacation, so the King of Hell made him acting Judge.

Lin Xun ended up acting in that role for eight hundred years.

After eight hundred years of hard labor, his resentment had piled up even higher than the paperwork stacked to the ceiling.

They say he carries a diary everywhere and, whenever work gets too stressful, uses it to curse out the previous Judge, who went on vacation and never came back. Normally, nobody dares to provoke him.

Then one day, a young man leaned over his exquisite, newly renovated grave in the mortal world and wailed in a voice so... awful.

Lin Xun: Hah! He'd like to see who had the nerve.

A blood-red figure slowly appeared from behind the gravestone. Their eyes met, and Lin Xun suddenly gripped his Judge's brush tight. His voice full of resentment, he said, "Eight hundred years. Where the hell have you been?"

Bai Yu: ???
