A Guide to Raising a Wise Ruler

Blurb:

In his previous life, Xiao Qi hated Nan Liujing, just like everyone else.

No one knew where she came from. She had neither identity nor family.

Though still a child, she alone enjoyed the favor of his cheap father, who appointed her Imperial Preceptor.

Later, she even became his tutor.

Xiao Qi was born into lowly circumstances and raised in the palace women's quarters.

It was as if she were born rebellious, always doing the opposite of what he wanted.

Watching her fret over his affairs while being powerless to do anything about them

brought him a strange sense of satisfaction.

But when Nan Liujing's identity was exposed and she was brought to the execution platform, she looked back at him and smiled.

...He regretted everything.

When he opened his eyes again, he was back on the day they first met.

This time, he made up his mind: he would listen to his teacher!

But later,

Xiao Qi was no longer satisfied with calling her only "Teacher."

His dreams were filled with her alluring figure, eyes unfocused and silver hair in disarray as she leaned across the bed.

This story is basically:

#Pining for the Imperial Preceptor across two lifetimes: a younger, unhinged emperor becomes a tea-sipping actor#

#The aloof little monster sees the sunlight and becomes human#

#I wanted to drag you into the abyss, but you went to the mortal world instead#

[Reading Guide]:

1. The male lead is reborn. The plot is the focus, with two main storylines. Volume One lays the groundwork, with many foreshadowed clues and a slow pace.

2. Both leads are virgins; 1v1, happy ending. The setting is very loosely constructed, with a mishmash of tropes. Because of what happened in their previous life, the male lead views the female lead through a very strong rosy filter.

3. The heroine's name comes from the line, "May I become the southward-flowing light, and speed like sunlight to meet my beloved," and symbolizes the sun.
