Falling in Love with the One Who Got Away

Friends-to-lovers premise, blurb from the top's perspective:

Lu Zhongming has a friend named Yun Lin.

He and Yun Lin went to the same high school, attended the same university, joined the same company, slept in the same bed, and did every intimate thing imaginable.

But Lu Zhongming firmly believes that they really are just pure, platonic friends.

He has two reasons for thinking so:

Yun Lin isn't his type.

Yun Lin is in love with someone else, and that person isn't him.

Lu Zhongming knows that Yun Lin likes someone and isn't upset about it.

That's because he's firm in his convictions. He firmly wants to be friends with Yun Lin, preferably for the rest of their lives.

Everything changes on the night he gets drunk.

He, a man firm in his convictions, gets drunk and sleeps with the friend he's determined to keep for life.

That night, Lu Zhongming loses his virginity, and at the same time, he understands one thing:

He and Yun Lin can no longer be friends.

Carefree, silly, charming top x gentle, aloof white-moonlight bottom

Reader's Guide:

1. The blurb is from the perspective of the top, Lu Zhongming. Most of the story is told from the bottom, Yun Lin's perspective, so it's labeled as bottom-led.

2. The bottom used to like someone, but that person won't appear in the story, except possibly in memories.

3. The top is in love without realizing it, but the bottom genuinely doesn't see him as anything more than a friend, so the road to winning him over will be long...

4. Primarily an urban romance, with school days shown in flashbacks and making up a small part of the story.

Theme: Healing and salvation, and the fated feeling of having missed each other.
