If I Refresh My Face Blindness a Hundred Times, Will I Remember the Handsome Genius?

[Blurb 1]

After spring break, during the first PE class of the new term, Satsuma Ichie spotted a promising athlete who would be perfect for the track team. If she could recruit a junior, she could finally stop training and retire in glory, right?

To make sure she wouldn't forget the newcomer's face and personality, Ichie skipped classes for the rest of the afternoon to observe them in secret. Then, as soon as they left school, she pedaled after them as fast as she could.

Ichie: Do you like running? Join the track team!

Chigiri: ? I refuse.

Ichie: Ah... okay, never mind.

So the next day...

Ichie: Do you like running? Join the track team!

Chigiri: ? Didn't you come ask me yesterday?

Ichie: Did I? So, want to join?

Chigiri: I refuse.

The third day...

Ichie: Do you like...

Chigiri: Did you reset or something?

Ichie: ? What do you mean?

Chigiri: I'm going to the bathroom. The men's room.

The fourth day...

The fifth day...

A month later, Chigiri spotted Satsuma Ichie from far away. Before she could say another embarrassing declaration, maybe it really was better to make the first move.

Chigiri: ...I have to say, your reset rate is surprisingly high.

Ichie: Huh... who are you?

Chigiri: ?

[Blurb 2]

One day at the Chigiri home, Chigiri and his older sister were chatting about school life.

Sister: Come to think of it, that junior I knew in elementary school seems to have a crush on a boy lately. I heard she goes and waits for him every day. If you didn't know better, you'd think she was recruiting for her club.

Chigiri: I've run into that sort of thing too. Either she's a creep or she's really oblivious.

Sister: Everyone calls her the Princess of the Track Team. She's super cute, both in looks and personality, though she's a little forgetful and bad with faces... Ah, the guy being watched over by a beautiful girl is so lucky!

Chigiri: ...Seriously?

Sister: Anyway, I invited her over today, so I can get the gossip! You're a guy, so you can help her sort out her feelings too.

Chigiri: ...

The door opened.

Chigiri: ...I should have known.

Ichie: Who are you?

Chigiri: ...

[Reader's Note]

A Blue Lock fanfic. This is probably all there is to it. There's so little fanfic, so I decided to make some myself. It's a short story, and probably won't go over 200,000 words. Hope you enjoy reading!

Please forgive any out-of-character moments (sob).
