A Romantic Love Story That Begins at Sea

[Blurb]

Amotel has two biological older brothers who can't stand each other.

Just how bad is it?

One is a pirate, and the other is a Marine.

Caught between them, she doesn't know which way to turn.

To avoid getting caught in the crossfire one day, Amotel seizes her chance and runs away from home, only to lose her way in the middle of the vast ocean.

Luckily, it isn't long before a kindhearted band of pirates fishes her out of the sea and takes her aboard.

According to them, they're a family with no blood ties.

From then on, she has a whole new group of "big brothers."

But the good times don't last. This group only looks like a bunch of kindhearted pirates. Their real reason for taking her aboard is to fatten her up before sending her off into a political marriage!

Amotel is fed up and runs away from home again.

History repeats itself. Amotel gets lost at sea once more, and another group of kindhearted pirates fishes her out and takes her aboard.

According to them, they're a family related by blood, and this voyage is to help a family member escape an arranged marriage.

Now that's what you call family love!

Amotel thinks she's finally found a good home. After all, the older brother in charge of the family looks so dependable. She decides to stay and become part of her new family.

Until one day, fate brings her face-to-face with members of her previous family in the middle of the vast ocean.

They act as if nothing happened, pulling her into conversation and chatting away, until they see the tall man who's now her fiance. Their smiles freeze, and without another word, they reach for their weapons.

"Well, well. We refused your political marriage proposal, and now you've gone and done something so 'kind' as to secretly steal someone else's family member!"

Caught in the middle, Amotel is so embarrassed she could curl her toes into the ground. A thousand words boil down to one: "Um, just hear me out..."

1. My own take on pirates, with mountains of original worldbuilding. OOC warnings apply.
