I Ran Into My Secret Crush on a Blind Date

Jiang Shuyi had a crush on Chen Yizhe for a full ten years.

There was no one in Beicheng who didn't know Chen Yizhe, the genius who won an international gold medal and earned early admission to P University at fourteen.

The first time she saw him, the slender boy stood in the rosy, sultry evening breeze. His expression was calm as he lowered his head to operate a drone. A fleet of drones formed a neat grid above the school field, and the wind billowed his spotless white shirt.

The moment he appeared before her, a corner of the clouds overhead seemed to collapse, revealing half a moon.

She followed in his footsteps, attending Beicheng No. 1 High School, then pushing herself to the brink to get into P University. She summoned all her courage to say just three things to him.

But even in the end, he never remembered her name.

Looking back, that unrequited teenage crush was like a cold drizzle at night. She stubbornly gazed upward, soaked through by the rain, while behind the clouds, the moon remained oblivious, high above her.

Ten years later, Jiang Shuyi's parents pushed her into going on a blind date. At a glance, she recognized Chen Yizhe, whom she hadn't seen in years.

She feigned surprise. "We went to the same high school and university, yet somehow we never met."

The man casually undid the button at his collar. He gave a listless hum, his eyes cool as he lowered his lashes.

They actually had met.

She thought bitterly.

What was your first meeting was my reunion.

Later, on the day they registered their marriage,

Jiang Shuyi smiled and said, "You have no idea how nervous I was when I saw you at the blind date. We almost missed our chance."

He said, "There was no almost."

He said, "I went because I knew it was you."

She said they'd never met, unaware that he had crossed half the city just to catch a glimpse of her.
