Tanjiro died after the decisive battle against Muzan.

He could hardly believe it, but once he realized he couldn't leave for the time being, he decided to make the best of things. Guided by Hozuki, a deputy administrator of hell, he received a trial shift as a prison guard.

As a member of the Demon Slayer Corps, Tanjiro now had to work for demons even after death. He wasn't sure whether that counted as some kind of hellish joke, but his competence and gentle, dependable eldest-son nature soon made him famous in Enma's Court. Every prison guard who spent time with him couldn't help calling him Mom.

Little by little, Tanjiro got used to working in hell, but one regret never left him. There were still so many things he wanted to say to that person while he was alive, but even after dying, the other man would surely only go to heaven...

Before he could dwell on it for long, he received two pieces of bad news.

First, Giyu had passed away after him, and his soul was still missing.

Second, Muzan had escaped from prison and fled into the legendary Pot Heaven, said to contain three thousand sealed miniature worlds.

To clean up the mess, Tanjiro accepted Enma's Court's request and set out once more to hunt down Muzan.

Tanjiro was prepared to defeat Muzan in world after world. But the first thing he saw was a pair of eyes, calm and an intense blue like the deep sea. The moment their gazes met, ripples stirred within him.

Realizing that this wasn't the Giyu from his own world, Tanjiro resolved to deal with Muzan as quickly as possible, so he wouldn't interfere with the world's timeline.
