Healing the Reclusive Country Boy, Today Too

Xia Xu graduated with a degree in agricultural science, but not long after starting his own business, he found himself at a loss.

On his first day in the countryside, he noticed that the young neighbor next door kept staring at him, even following him to the test field to watch.

Not just watching, either. He wanted to talk to him.

People in the countryside love to gather around and see what's going on.

After Xia Xu ignored him a few times, he stopped bouncing around and simply watched in silence.

From the roof, from his doorway.

Come rain or shine, until death do them part (not really).

-

Song Fengmian didn't think much of Xia Xu's experimental project. Sure enough, before long, the team members left together.

He worked up the courage and shamelessly squeezed his way into Xia Xu's world.

He brought him beer, expired, just to keep the conversation going with Xia Xu;

He cooked his signature dishes for Xia Xu, because the way to a man's heart is through his stomach;

He encouraged him and fussed over him.

They were together every day, sharing the blazing sun and pouring rain.

The deeper he fell, the more afraid he became.

-

Just as his career hit rock bottom, Xia Xu suddenly had an earnest, warmhearted person named Song Fengmian by his side, cheering him up and making him laugh.

Before he knew it, Xia Xu kissed Song Fengmian.

And scared him off.

The first time is a surprise, the second time is familiar. After a few kisses, Song Fengmian really did stop avoiding him, but Xia Xu wasn't happy about it anymore.

That day, Song Fengmian got into an argument with someone on Xia Xu's behalf, and the argument landed him in the hospital.

His brows were still furrowed with anger. Xia Xu felt both heartbroken and moved.

Xia Xu frowned.
