Weaving Signals

Ye Xiyu got married, out of spite.

She married the man who had damaged her work with his rough fingers at the last cultural exchange event, despite being so young.

On their wedding night, Ye Xiyu placed baskets all around the bed.

She lined the baskets with mulberry leaves, filled them with silkworm pupae, then wrapped herself up like a silkworm pupa and lay in the red wedding quilt.

Shang Yunhe returned to the room after seeing off the last of the guests.

Looking at the elaborate setup, with something wriggling on the lush green mulberry leaves, the corner of his mouth twitched involuntarily.

Shang Yunhe casually picked one up. "Are these your guests?"

Wrapped up tight in layer upon layer, and completely unafraid he might force himself on her, Ye Xiyu said, "I brought them especially to cheer you on."

In just a few seconds, she felt the man's face darken by eight shades.

-

Shang Yunhe got married. His bride was beautiful.

The first time they met, he accidentally snagged her work. Before he could apologize, the girl slapped him across the face.

Watching her scurry away, he said, "That's all you've got?"

On their wedding night, he had a stubborn high fever. In a daze, he saw someone tiptoe out of bed and stomp all over his slippers.

Well,

She certainly had some nerve.
