Don't Pick My Front Door Lock Again

Rich-kid crime squad captain gong Qin Zhiyi x civilian undercover locksmith shou Li Xuhua

A year ago, Qin Zhiyi was dumped.

A year later, on the day he reported for duty in a county town, they met again in the interrogation room.

Li Xuhua looked much thinner.

He had witnessed the gruesome crime scene, and the fear in his eyes was just like before, when he'd hidden in Qin Zhiyi's arms and whispered, trembling, "Zhiyi, I'm scared."

Qin Zhiyi still held a grudge over their breakup, but after the interrogation, he was the one who asked, "Want to be friends?"

Li Xuhua was distant and cold. "There's no need, is there?"

Li Xuhua's father was an old locksmith. Having learned by watching him from childhood, Li Xuhua had become even better at picking locks than his father.

During summer break, he went home to visit. His father was busy with work, so he sent Li Xuhua to unlock a client's door.

To his surprise, inside a box secured with an iron lock, he found products made from protected wild animals.

On his way home, he received an anonymous threat.

When he got back, the living room was full of uniformed officers.

He wasn't capable of taking on a mission like going undercover, but he had no better choice.

He cut off all contact with the outside world and underwent systematic training day and night.

But just as his undercover mission reached a critical point, Qin Zhiyi was transferred to the very district where he was working...
