[Interstellar] I Became Everyone's Favorite After Binding Myself to the Comments

[Idea saved for later. The blurb will be heavily revised, but the premise won't change.]

Lu Huan was just an ordinary student at the Federal Military Academy. One day, after someone confessed to him, he suddenly noticed a string of comments floating before his eyes:

[Oh no, some people are about to die of jealousy.]

Lu Huan: ...What?

From that day on, his life changed beyond recognition.

The mecha engineer hailed as the "Star of the Empire" and top student in their year, Yan Xiao, had a head of shimmering silver hair and golden eyes that seemed to keep everyone at arm's length. When he discussed coursework with Lu Huan:

[Wow, a cool beauty 1, does anyone get it!]

[Look at the tips of his ears, they're so red you could boil an egg on them.]

[What? Save an egg for me!]

Lu Huan: ...

When his roommate, a human weapon with SSS-level mental strength who could go to the battlefield at any moment, asked to borrow his shower gel:

[Holy crap, just say you want to smell like your wife!]

[So sly. Did you see him deliberately flex those muscles!]

[Ahhh, he's seducing my wife!! I'm jealous, jealous! Bite his butt, bite bite bite bite bite!]

Lu Huan froze, suddenly unsure where to look.

He was in the same year as his genius younger brother, who had skipped two grades, but the two were on such bad terms that they hardly spoke. Even the occasional meals they shared were awkward:

[Stop acting tsundere, your brother's about to be stolen away!!]

Lu Huan: Stolen away by whom?

[Wait, Huanhuan doesn't know they're not biological brothers, does he?]

[That's right! The little brother's in trouble now.]

[Nooo!! I'm invested in the little brother! The fangirls' lives matter too!]

Lu Huan: ??!

*

Just as he began to wonder if he was suffering from delusions, the school festival brought all these big shots together. They chatted and laughed, getting along wonderfully.

That's right, strong people should admire one another!

Lu Huan left while contacting a mental health counselor. The comments read:

[It's over. As soon as his wife leaves, they stop pretending.]

Wanting to make one last check, he turned back.

The scene was completely different from the one he'd left.

A storm swept up broken stones as three of the most powerful people at the pinnacle of the interstellar hierarchy faced off, not one of them willing to give an inch.

Lu Huan: !!!
