Synopsis

My new novel, An Honest Man, but Master of Rules, is now underway. It's a lighthearted cosmic-horror story. Come check it out in the serials section!

Ruan Zhou, an overworked employee stuck in a 24/7 job, transmigrates to another world on his way home from buying groceries.

He stops a strange-looking person. “Excuse me, where is this?”

The monster turns in terror toward the young man whose features it can't make out. It hears “His” whispered words, and its sanity instantly hits zero, turning it into a writhing mass of flesh and blood.

In the other world, Ruan Zhou works hard while searching for a way home.

[Anomaly B073: Mimic Mushroom] Any anomaly officer below Class B will die on contact.

Ruan Zhou picks up the dazzling plant with its strange appearance. “Great, I won't have to buy vegetables tonight.”

[Anomaly A011: Soul Vacuum Cleaner] Continuously sucks the souls out of every living thing within ten meters.

Ruan Zhou gives the dustbin a kick. “This new vacuum cleaner doesn't work very well.”

[Anomaly S121: Lost Bus] No one can escape the bus bound for hell.

Ruan Zhou pulls out his Class A1 driver's license and shoves the driver aside. “Don't make me late for work.”

[Anomaly ???: Looping Hotel] Fatality rate: 99.9999%.

Ruan Zhou yanks the doorknob right off. “The hotel the company booked is way too shabby!”

[Anomaly Investigation Bureau Files: Top Secret]

[Anomaly Name] The Man Who Lost His Home (Unnumbered).

[Description] This anomaly takes the form of a human male and can suppress anomalies below Class S. Once known, all things become ordinary.

First appeared during the containment of “Anomaly C621: Flea Man.” He was carrying an ordinary plastic bag containing a Class S anomaly, and looking for the address of “Happy Residential Community” (investigation found that no such address exists).

[Containment Measures] Agree to help him find the address of the community, provide him with social employment, and closely monitor his movements.

[Assigned Personnel] Lin Lin.

“We'd rather call Him a god who was left behind.”

Reader's guide:

1. Lin Lin is the gong.

2. The shou appears to be an all-powerful big shot, but is actually a hardworking employee. A lighthearted story with Lovecraftian elements.

3. Please follow and bookmark! Mwah!

-------Serial Novel-------

An Honest Man, but Master of Rules

This world is sick. Monsters are everywhere, the uncanny runs rampant, and no one follows the rules of old.

Except you.

You're an honest man.

Your boss asks for your help, and you don't refuse.

But he waves his slimy tentacles around, trying to dock your pay under the pretense of cutting costs when he's really just looking to take advantage.

You calmly pin your boss's head down with a knife and make him regret not following the law.

You turn and leave when the mall offers a discount raffle.

But the salesperson bares spiraling rows of sharp teeth and forces a sale with a contract made of human skin, trying to seize your property and leave you destitute.

You coolly shove the contract into the salesperson's mouth and show him what a lawful transaction looks like.

A hero steps forward, and you pay no attention.

But the hero is swallowed by a monster, and people scatter in terror as it attacks. The gift you bought for your boyfriend is knocked to the ground.

You smile as you chop the monster to pieces, making it drop countless gold coins.

You obey the law and live a peaceful life, yet somehow everyone knows who you are.

In other people's eyes, you're brazen and unrestrained. Everything that dares cross you ends up in hell.

Those things fall to their knees, weeping bitterly, dying with their eyes open, filled with regret.

People come up with countless codenames for you.

And so, somehow, legends about you are everywhere.

If there are no rules, then you are the rules.

You will establish order in the new world.

[An absurdly powerful honest-man shou x a gloomy, inhuman gong]

The main story is told in third person.

Theme: Love life, starting with the little things

Great Reads (Mostly BL from the Bottom's Perspective)

Ignore the star ratings. Mostly esports, space opera, Western fantasy, post-apocalyptic, and infinite-flow stories, with the occasional xuanhuan or historical danmei. Updated whenever. See the comments for the rest.

Maybe not quite as incredible as the list above, but still a delicious read worth savoring! Most of the four-star ratings on this list are really four and a half to five stars.

Bottom Fans Rejoice

Great reads: charming bottoms, strong bottoms, world-building, apocalyptic game-like scenarios, or no romance. Occasionally, some wish-fulfillment stories with a strong female lead.

Personal Recommendations

Kink alert, pure indulgence! Love a powerful male lead with a satisfying career-focused storyline, plus a gorgeous, strong, tragic, universally adored bottom. Occasionally, there’s some dark, devoted bottom energy, with a self-destructive streak and a melancholic little bottom.

Saving Books I Like! Warm and Cool Edition

I’m a switch who leans toward bottoming: dark, brooding tops × sunshine bottoms; loyal-dog tops and aloof-cat bottoms; handsome tops and beautiful bottoms. I read both handsome-top/beautiful-bottom and beautiful-top/beautiful-bottom pairings. I love sweet stories and power fantasies.

A Very Random Personal Stockpile

A stash of feel-good, bottom-perspective stories. I lean toward stories that idealize the bottom, and don't care whether the top is strong or weak. I generally skip extras and author notes, though I'll flag anything that seems like a major red flag.

All Types, Mostly Feel-Good Stories

There’s a bit of everything: romance from both male and female perspectives, danmei with either the protagonist as the pursuer or the pursued, and stories with no romance. But there are more wish-fulfillment comedies, and there are even some with terrible gong protagonists.

BL with a Bottom Lead, Stories That Left Me Wanting More

Most are from the bottom’s perspective. I found them really satisfying, or they’re rare ones I’d like to reread. I’m always thrilled to find stories like these, but after finishing them, I’m often stuck in a reading slump for ages. Personal collection
