Xu Suyi, known as the Evil God.
Overworked and on call year-round, she quits and goes on vacation.
When she enters the human world, she's almost discovered by an inspector, who looks exactly like her sworn enemy!
Xu Suyi: ...What are the odds?
-
Xu Suyi invites Shen Heng over for dinner, while sounding him out.
Underling A emerges from a painting on the wall. Black, viscous liquid oozes out of the wall, as if from the depths of hell.
Shen Heng steps in front of her and rips the painting down. "The upstairs water pipe must have burst. The sewage got all over your painting."
Xu Suyi: ...
Xu Suyi invites Shen Heng to watch a newly released horror movie.
Underling B twists into a pretzel behind her, rotten tentacles flailing as it lunges at them.
Shen Heng moves behind her and pulls off one of its tentacles. "The theater's model is pretty shoddy. I'll make you a better one sometime."
Xu Suyi: ...
A crisis strikes the city, and Xu Suyi rushes to find Shen Heng.
But all she sees is devastation. Where is he?
Xu Suyi goes berserk. Her indescribable form makes every monster prostrate itself, trembling in fear.
When Shen Heng fights his way out of the horde of monsters, he sees an entity more powerful than any of them in the middle of a rampage. Every monster present is furious, but dares not say a word.
After meeting Shen Heng's gaze, Xu Suyi collapses into his arms. "My blood sugar's low. I think I'm hallucinating."
Shen Heng: ...
The monsters: ...
-
The first time Shen Heng saw Xu Suyi was in a forbidden zone surrounded by monsters.
Amid countless ugly, rotting, filthy anomalies, she alone stood apart, gazing at him through the darkness. Her eyes were black and white, clear and distinct, like a ray of light in a ruined world, and she crashed straight into his heart.
Shen Heng wanted to protect that light.
Later, he discovered that the light seemed to have a rather high wattage.
