I Woke Up to Find My Childhood Friend Had Become My Husband

Lu Yu'an wakes up in a hotel, aching all over.

His childhood friend is lying beside him.

He never imagined he'd reunite with Li Hanying this way.

Seeing that familiar yet unfamiliar face makes him angry. Lu Yu'an kicks him, only for the other man to open his eyes at once and grab his ankle.

"Still so short-tempered."

"Better than pretending to be asleep to trick me!"

They don't end up fighting.

The blanket flutters, and Lu Yu'an suddenly realizes he's in no shape for strenuous exercise right now.

To resolve their awkward situation, Li Hanying suggests they get married. He says he'll treat Lu Yu'an well and give his family's company favorable terms in business.

Lu Yu'an slaps his hand away. "Get lost! I don't need that!"

Li Hanying lowers his eyes and nods. "Fine."

A couple of days later, Lu Yu'an learns about his family's situation.

After much hesitation, he calls Li Hanying and asks if his offer at the hotel still stands.

Li Hanying smiles, unwilling to pass up the chance to maximize his advantage. "It can, but the terms will have to change."
