"A sweet, adventurous food blogger x a stunningly handsome, scheming CEO"

"Mutual pining / Reunion after years apart / The scheming guy's plan backfires"

Ye Hanxing is a food blogger and private chef who has always loved a challenge.

At 28, she received a private order from her high school crush, Cen Yi.

Cen Yi is now the newly appointed head of the Lintai Hotel Group, young, successful, and riding high.

When she first got the job, Ye Hanxing was full of enthusiasm. She was determined to earn her crush's money, win his stomach, and then capture his heart!

But she eventually discovered that behind the filter of her old crush, Cen Yi was merely a cold-blooded capitalist who was nitpicky and completely lacking in compassion.

After Ye Hanxing had remade a dessert for him for the 18th time, Cen Yi sat at the table with elegant poise, took a bite, and frowned for the 18th time. "It's mediocre. It doesn't meet the requirements. Make it again."

"..."

Back home, Ye Hanxing was so upset she wanted to cry. She spent half an hour ranting about Cen Yi to her best friend.

To hell with crushes. It was all an illusion. To hell with that huge salary. It was all a capitalist's empty promise!

She was tired. She didn't want to do this anymore.

In high school, Cen Yi had loved Ye Hanxing for two years. But with no clear path forward, he could only let her slip away.

When they reunited ten years later, his plan had three steps:

1. Get close to her under the pretext of work.

2. Use what he knows about her personality to stump her and keep her around.

3. Launch an all-out offensive and pursue her!

But Cen Yi never imagined his plan would fall apart at the second step...

"In a nutshell: What should have been a mutual-pining romance becomes the male lead's long, miserable campaign to win her back after driving her away."
