This Is Part of Our Play, Too

The heroine is a yandere, and the hero is an ordinary person.

They live in a world where all kinds of anime have merged together. Every few days, some villain pops up wanting to create a world of some sort.

By sheer coincidence, the hero and heroine meet during a major anime set piece, and a bizarre love blossoms amid the disaster.

Since their world is constantly beset by disasters, they flee together to slice-of-life anime worlds to take shelter and enjoy some romance. Along the way, they pass through countless anime settings: fighting cursed spirits in Tokyo, becoming suspects in Beika Town, nearly getting recruited in Yokohama, and plenty more.

The two of them make a brains-and-brawn pair: the hero is the brains, and the heroine is the brawn.

By convention, the heroine should choose a weapon that suits her, like the classic hatchet. But since the settings of each series differ, and not all of them can accommodate the same weapon, she gets Keiichi's legendary baseball bat from Higurashi.

The hero has normal intelligence. In anime where characters are only written as highly intelligent, he actually seems even smarter than them. But in series like Death Note, he gets scared and prepares to run away, and he should avoid getting involved in Conan's main plot too.

Theme: An extreme push and pull between an unconventional yandere and an unconventional ordinary person.
