The Whole World Wants Me to Shut Up

I’m an ability user. Unfortunately, my ability, [Word Spirit], makes me an easy target.

Before I ended up on the streets, I was something of a cultured person. I love reading, and my ability and I work together remarkably well.

When my good friend Nakahara Chuuya starts beating people up, I give him a buff: “Lu Zhishen uprooting the weeping willow.” Then he plants that bandage-wrapped guy headfirst in the ground.

When I see my neighbor Akutagawa Ryuunosuke being attacked, I give him a buff: “Three hundred years left to live.” Then his lung disease never gets better, but [Rashomon] gets even fiercer.

When the Port Mafia boss, a middle-aged man with a thing for underage girls, invites me to join, I can’t help expressing my opinion: “There are plenty more fish in the sea.” Then the boss goes straight to the Armed Detective Agency to confess his love to someone.

This really isn’t my fault. I’m just an ordinary person who loves studying and speaks eloquently.

The Bungo Stray Dogs cast, driven to despair: ...Shut up! Speak like a normal person!

Thesis: You should speak more nicely.
