Qi Mu Qingqiu, the Qi Mu family's third son. His eldest brother has an IQ of 280 and nearly destroyed the world, while his second brother is a god of the 2D world, busy saving it.
Qi Mu Qingqiu is different. He's working to unite the world.
Born with immense spiritual power, he unconsciously devours the life force of nearby creatures, attracting the attention of the Dresden Slate and forcing him to become a King.
At age six, with his eldest brother's support, he nearly ruled the world. Though his reign was cut short before it truly began, Qi Mu Qingqiu's fervent desire to rule still stirs within him.
Watching a brown-haired boy being chased around by yokai,
Qi Mu Qingqiu nodded to himself. "You have good stamina. Become my subordinate and help me unite the world!"
The brown-haired boy refused, awkwardly but politely.
Stopping a bewitching, slippery yokai who had hidden his presence and passed right by,
Qi Mu Qingqiu nodded to himself. "You're good at staying hidden. Become my subordinate and help me unite the world!"
The current commander-in-chief of the Night Parade of One Hundred Demons smiled and refused.
He fished a black-haired, bandage-wrapped man with a vigorous life force out of the river.
Qi Mu Qingqiu, who was always trying to recruit people, fell silent. This guy looked sinister inside and out. He didn't seem like a good person.
So he tossed him back into the river, ignored his application to join, and turned away coldly.
After all that effort, Qingqiu was still a one-man army: …
"Qingqiu, what is your wish?"
A gentle, syrupy voice sounded beside his ear.
Unable to recruit anyone, Qi Mu Qingqiu gave a casual, offhand answer.
"Destroy the world."
Later, someone really did destroy the world and came through the barrier between worlds.
Qi Mu Qingqiu: ?!
Qi Mu Qingqiu: Holy crap! That's amazing! He really destroyed the world!!
…Wait.
He destroyed the world??!!
Hey, second brother? There's a big bad villain here who destroyed the world!
Reader's Guide
1. Qiuqiu is chuuni, but also ridiculously silly. I have a detailed outline, but if it doesn't meet your expectations, there's nothing I can do about it (sigh). See you in the next book.
2. There are lots of characters in this story. My writing may not be good enough to keep them in character, so read at your own risk.
3. This is a companion story to another book, The Disaster of a Psychic in a Dark Honmaru. It only has a small connection to it.
Theme: Everything is mine to enjoy, and there is no greater joy.
