Honmaru 02 is famous as a grinder of Supervisors.

A swift hand, a falling blade, one victim per slash.

Until one day, a strange pink-haired guy wearing a lollipop on his head showed up at the Honmaru.

A swift hand, a sweeping blow, and the whole Honmaru was wiped out.

The sword spirits: What the heck?!

Not only could they not beat him, the Honmaru kept stabbing them in the back.

The cherry tree, unmoving for a thousand years, suddenly snapped.

Sword spirit number one, crushed and paralyzed from the waist down: ...

The stable ground beneath their feet suddenly sprouted bricks and tiles.

Sword spirit number two, kneeling before the pink-haired guy on the spot: ...

The Honmaru mysteriously collapsed in the middle of the night, wiping out the entire army.

At dawn, all the sword spirits jolted awake and shouted in despair: Is this even science?!

Saiki: It is. There was just a little too much psychic power leaking out.

They understood.

Pink hair = not human = a secret weapon specially recruited by the Temporal Government.

They had an epiphany.

A gentleman takes his revenge, even if he must sleep on brushwood and taste gall.

They took action.

Group attacks failed, so they turned to assassination! Get him!

Ever since Saiki took charge of this group of not-quite-sane sword-wielding tsukumogami, he has barely had a peaceful day.

His food contains lethal poison that makes blood pour from all seven orifices. Unfamiliar shards litter the floor beside his bed. Creepy ghostly laughter inexplicably rings out in the middle of the night. His clothes give off a suspicious scent...

Even when he goes outside, traps are everywhere he steps.

Others leave flowers in their wake; he leaves danger at every step.

Saiki: What kind of misery is this?

Thankfully, these are all harmless assassination attempts, nothing too troublesome.

Until one day, just as an arrow was about to pierce Saiki's head, a sword spirit leaped forward and was the first to show him some kindness.

[I'm about to earn his trust. This foolish human child is so easy to fool. Just wait until he gets a taste of being betrayed by everyone!]

With a sincere smile, the other guy single-handedly unlocked a new level of psychological warfare for Saiki.

?What if Qin Shi Huang got a University Student Summoning System?

After obtaining the Imperial Seal, a System suddenly appeared in Ying Zheng's mind, called the University Student Internship Summoning System.

All Ying Zheng had to do was issue an internship certificate, and the countless pillars of the future would be at his disposal.

In the early days of unification, the realm was still unsettled, and the need for talent was great.

Ying Zheng looked at the many ambitious young people of the new century on the resumes and, as if possessed, clicked [Yes]. The result...

A history graduate well-versed in five thousand years of Chinese history, gentle as water, yet never hesitating to talk back: "Wake up. The Qin Dynasty fell long ago."

Ying Zheng, wanting to ask about his own merits: ?

A media and communications graduate with tens of millions of followers, passionate and outgoing, who landed straight in prison.

"Brother Zheng, waah! Do you get arrested just for trying to talk to a pretty girl?!"

Ying Zheng, arriving at the Commandant of Justice's prison to bail him out: ?

A physics graduate who had won every national award, taciturn, holding up a blank sheet of paper as he cursed out the Imperial Workshops.

"Even if the King of Heaven himself came, this lousy machine still wouldn't work!"

Ying Zheng, unable to get a word in while trying to mediate: ?

Lazy, checked-out finance students, prudish management majors with the air of old cadres, lively and adorable accounting students, calm and devout teacher-training students... When a group of university students gathered together:

#They fool around while building the Lingqu Canal and keep doing it after repeated warnings! Punish them severely, Your Majesty!#

#While the books are being burned, they burn the English proficiency exam books even though they're not on the list! Punish them severely, Your Majesty!#

#While marching to war, they make their own skateboards, strap them to their horses, and lie down to ride forward! Punish them severely, Your Majesty!#

Emperor Qin Shi Huang, gradually buried under the memorials impeaching them: ...

So this is what university students are like? Terrifying indeed.

Pushing aside the memorials, he opened the internship panel and stared at the progress of each task, deep in thought.

#Lingqu Canal: 100% complete, construction time cut in half#

#Book burning: 100% complete, books used for improper teaching removed, while texts of great importance to future generations have been preserved#

#Northern campaign against the Xiongnu: 100% complete, friendly relations established with the Xiongnu#

#Cultivating farmland: 100% complete, our country's crop yields have initially increased by 200%#

#Fishing industry...#

#Commerce...#

Ying Zheng: University students are terrifying indeed!

He raised a hand and had the Great Wall overseer, who had been making the students work overtime, dragged away. Then, as a reward, he appointed the students as Fusu's personal guards and issued one final internship assignment.

#At the Qin Academy, let a hundred flowers bloom. Will you join me in creating a golden age?!#

[Ding-dong!! Brother Zheng has issued a new internship assignment. Accept?]

The university students smiled wickedly: The Zheng Family Army, move out!!

At that moment, inside Yichun Palace.

Fusu fell silent beneath the feverish gaze of his 1,538th personal guard.

Fusu: Father Emperor said the Zheng Family Army would be "sent down for labor reform." He wasn't just trying to comfort me, was he? :(

Theme: The everyday is ordinary, too.
