Coveting

Song Xingze first saw Gu Huaizhi in a house fit to rival an imperial palace. At the time, Song Xingze was filthy and disheveled, while Gu Huaizhi stood on the second-floor balcony in a custom-tailored black shirt, looking down at him. With his arms folded and his eyes lowered, he resembled a haughty emperor. Even his very bones seemed to radiate a coldness that set him apart from everyone else.

Gu Huaizhi's father led Song Xingze over and told him to call Gu Huaizhi "Brother Huaizhi." After a brief exchange of glances, Song Xingze got a soft laugh and a cutting, deeply scornful reply from Gu Huaizhi: "Is he even worthy?"

It was the first time Song Xingze had heard Gu Huaizhi's voice. It carried a young man's arrogance and the uninhibited swagger unique to him, leaving an indelible mark on Song Xingze's heart like a hurricane.

From then on, Song Xingze never called him "brother" again, even though they lived under the same roof and Gu Huaizhi was a year older than him.

Everyone thought Song Xingze was just sulking, but only he knew why he never called him "brother."

Young love is like a cup of bitter rice wine. It slips down your throat, then turns into a secret longing hidden in your heart, something you can never speak aloud...

Song Xingze felt that giving everything to Gu Huaizhi was like pouring a bottle of water into a bottomless pit. It would never be enough. Yet after doing it for so long, he had grown used to giving without getting anything in return. But after he took a blow meant for Gu Huaizhi, he caught a glimpse through the blood of a trace of panic in Gu Huaizhi's usually cold eyes. Gu Huaizhi thought the blood had blurred his vision, so he merely said, "Get lost. Stay away from me."

Song Xingze would never stay away from Gu Huaizhi. He knew that ever since childhood, from the very first moment he saw Gu Huaizhi, his eyes had always followed him. As he followed him day after day, Song Xingze gradually realized that what he felt for Gu Huaizhi had long since stopped being an ordinary affection...

1. A younger seme who seems innocent but is secretly cunning x a tsundere uke with a soft heart (I've been wanting to write a younger seme lately~)

2. The seme and uke are not related by blood. The seme is simply living in the uke's home.
