When the apocalypse begins, Ji Qingchen, a student at a prestigious medical university in C City, is caught in the upheaval while attending a school-organized event. He fights to survive, but as a medical student with negative combat ability, his odds of making it through the apocalypse plummet... That's how it should have gone, but...

Ji Qingchen: What are these things? Why are the corpses charging at us, howling? I kind of want to study how they move.

Tan Bai transmigrates into a pure white lion cat living in a futuristic interstellar world.

Only after his owner brings him home does Tan Bai learn that the man is a notorious, brutal God of War, the empire's youngest marshal. Tan Bai stares at the man's refined, handsome face and is confused. What's so brutal about him?

Later, when Tan Bai sees the red mental energy bar above the brutal God of War's head about to max out, he finally understands why the man is so brutal.

Thus begins Tan Bai's mission to save his owner. He absolutely can't let his free meal ticket get killed! Now a cat, Tan Bai works hard to keep his job, lazing around and eating for free, and only occasionally needing to cuddle up to the marshal.

Years later, Tan Bai takes the initiative to throw away his meal ticket and races around the house in a fit of rage, thinking as he runs, "This cat just wants to beat his owner to death now."

Rong Xiuya nimbly catches Tan Bai mid-zoomie and scoops him up for an enthusiastic snuggle. "Baibai, cuddle time!"
