After Reverting to a Mermaid, the Dragon Hatchling I Found Is an Apex Predator

[Synopsis]

When they first met, Ji Cang was a light in the sea, and Shen Lan's greatest trouble.

The night he was cast into the sea after being abandoned by a wealthy family, Shen Lan underwent an ancestral transformation into a merfolk. At death's door, he rescued a beam of light.

That beam of light was a young dragon, covered in scars.

Sea monsters came flocking, seeking the power in the young dragon's flesh and blood, roaring as they prepared to tear him apart and devour him.

Unable to wield his power properly, Shen Lan could only hold the young dragon tightly in his arms to protect him. He gave a weak smile.

"Don't be afraid, little one. I'll protect you."

The young dragon in his arms suddenly opened his golden, slit-pupiled eyes, filled with anger and awe-inspiring authority.

Later, Ji Cang became a tyrant of the sea, and Shen Lan's guardian deity.

In the blink of an eye, the young dragon grew up to become Ji Cang, leader of the Supernatural Affairs Bureau's Third Division, feared by sea monsters everywhere.

Where his spear points, all demons flee.

"Silly boy, now it's my turn to protect you."

Ji Cang was a tyrant of the sea, but Shen Lan was the only one who could calm him.

When the shadows of the deep gradually bared their fangs, Shen Lan discovered that he was inextricably linked to them.

Why was he abandoned? What was his true background? Would his existence bring hope or destruction?

Ji Cang stood beside him and said resolutely,

"Whatever the outcome, I'll always be your strongest shield and sharpest spear."

At night, Ji Cang's hand gently caressed Shen Lan's tail, his fingertips tracing the patterns of his scales.

"Don't hide. A dragon has only one mate in its lifetime. Once it has chosen, it's for life."

Shen Lan smiled and leaned close to Ji Cang's ear to whisper,

"You are the king I have chosen, and I will always stand by your side."
