818: That Varia Assassin in Beika

Help! I opened a pizza shop and accidentally ran into my ex-boyfriend, who disappeared after sending me just one breakup letter. What should I do?

Martina, an utterly ordinary pizza shop owner, is having a rough day.

After agonizing over it for ages, she chose the least unreliable suggestion from her unreliable coworkers: Make him fall in love with you again, then dump him and make him feel your pain.

As an Italian in both her past and present lives, Martina figured this would be a piece of cake.

Anyway, after many twists and turns, they finally got back together...

If only she weren't pursuing Bourbon of the Black Organization under the identity of Valian Yunshou.

So why is the boyfriend of a woman who was an assassin in her past life and a mobster in this one a police officer?!

Things to know before reading:

1. The heroine was an Italian assassin in her past life, and in this one she's part of a certain seafood family. (You don't need to have played Assassin's Creed to enjoy the story.)

2. It's a second-chance romance with her ex. She and Rei met at the police academy.

3. Guaranteed happy ending. There probably won't be any angst in the middle. Probably.

Theme: Evil never triumphs over good.
