An 818 Post About Matsuda's Sister on the Black Side

[A quick plug for the new story next door, now underway: Western Crossover: 818, That Middle Eastern Assassin in the League. A dog-like Assassin's Creed heroine x a Bat-like assassin, paired with Damian. A sweet childhood-friends-to-lovers romantic comedy. (The upcoming story really did run into unexpected trouble.)] [Another plug for my friend's ongoing Conan story, no romance, and very entertaining: How to Be a Superhero in the Detective World. Shocking! I woke up one day as Superman, then went outside and discovered I was in Beika Town...] Anyone familiar with the Matsuda family knows that Matsuda, who can't stand anyone, has a naturally sweet and gentle little sister. Some anonymous member of the Matsuda family feared nothing as a child, except that his sister, who never cried or made a fuss, would be bullied. He had no idea his sister only acted obedient around him. In reality, she'd already become a high-ranking member of a certain fake-liquor organization. Matsuda brings his sister to meet his troublesome academy classmates. Matsuda Wakaba asks very seriously, "Are they your friends, big brother?" "Huh?" Her brother pauses, then answers half-jokingly and half-seriously, "They're just a bunch of idiots." "I'll protect them for you," the nineteen-year-old girl vows earnestly. "I'll protect your friends, and I'll protect you, too." Everyone at the police academy knows Matsuda has a little sister he protects fiercely. Furuya and Morofushi are no exception. Until they see the quiet, well-behaved high school girl they remember at the organization where they're undercover. "I'm Ice Liqueur, in charge of this code-name assessment." Her expression is cold, and her all-black outfit makes it obvious she's part of the organization. Matsuda Wakaba has a secret no one knows: since childhood, she's been bound by a contract with the world to overthrow the Crow Organization, which seeks to reverse life and death. In exchange, her brother, who died in the prime of his life at twenty-six, would live free of worry for the rest of his life. Later, she decides to protect her brother's fellow academy students, too, and then... Matsuda Wakaba: 5-4=0? Are you trying to work me to death? Basically, it's the story of a Holy Grail that gained sentience next door and has mysterious combat abilities, went to another world and found herself a big brother, then learned that he was destined to die young. She goes to great lengths to save him, only to find out that there are three more people waiting to be saved. There's a little Type-Moon crossover, but everything will be explained, so it shouldn't affect your reading experience (probably). No angst, I promise. As for the romance... I've settled on Hiromitsu for now. Theme: Though imperfect, anyone with light in their heart can change the world and make tomorrow better.
