Turns Out My Online Dating Partner Lives Across the Hall

Blurb: [Socially Anxious Top-Lane Streamer vs. Scheming Mage]

Ning Zhixiang is a socially anxious girl.

She's a rare top-lane streamer who never shows her face.

Besides streaming, she also does boosting and gaming sessions for clients.

Fresh out of college, she moves into a new home.

In the elevator, she spots a man in sportswear. He's her high school classmate, and now her neighbor.

Ning Zhixiang pulls her turtleneck up to cover her face, praying he hasn't recognized her.

The next day, he knocks on her door. "Your takeout was delivered to the wrong place." After a pause, he adds, "It's not good to eat something so greasy in the morning."

Ning Zhixiang hasn't spoken all day, so her voice is a little hoarse. "Oh, thanks." Nervous, she takes the food with a trembling hand.

After that, her neighbor knocks on her door again and again.

"I made too many cookies."

"This was a gift from work. It's for you."

"Want to split a pack of tissues?"

"I bought too much milk tea. Here, have some."

She knows he's pursuing her.

After a lot of deliberation and many practice runs, she finally works up the courage to say, "I have a boyfriend." He's someone she met online.

He Luofeng opens the pinned contact on his phone and makes a voice call, explaining, "I have a girlfriend too."

Ning Zhixiang's phone rings. She hurriedly silences it, clutching the edge of the door in a panic. She stammers blankly, "Oh, don't let her get the wrong idea."

He Luofeng finds her so cute that he can't help reaching out to ruffle the unruly strands on top of her head. "Ning Zhixiang, did you get the wrong idea?"

Ning Zhixiang meets a teammate in the game lobby.

After that, the teammate keeps booking her for gaming sessions.

And before long, her client becomes her boyfriend.

He Luofeng waits in the lobby for ages, until the streamer he likes wanders in by chance.

So he lies low for even longer, waiting until his favorite streamer becomes his girlfriend, and then successfully moves into the apartment across from hers.
