After I Lost My Memory, My Ex Called Me His Wife

It’s been forty-five days since Meng Jian broke up with his ex, Yi Ningzhe, and he’s been telling people that he has amnesia.

He even found a neurologist who was supposedly skilled and asked the doctor to give him a shot called the Memory Loss Injection.

The doctor prescribed him a pile of vitamins to take home.

And told him, “Relax. Get a good night’s sleep, and good luck will come your way.”

Meng Jian took a few vitamins. Not only did nothing good happen, he even tripped right outside his home.

Then he really did lose his memory.

When Meng Jian wakes up, Yi Ningzhe is standing in front of him.

Since Yi Ningzhe’s contact information isn’t anywhere on his phone, naturally, he can’t remember who he is.

Yi Ningzhe bends down to inspect his face, then unexpectedly plants a kiss on his forehead.

Meng Jian: ?

He covers his forehead. “Who are you?”

Yi Ningzhe’s lips curve into a smile. “You really forgot me?”

Then he calls him, “Wifey.”

-

Yi Ningzhe and Meng Jian have known each other since birth. They know each other inside out, and even after breaking up, they can’t escape being neighbors.

Meng Jian’s amnesia is rather selective: he remembers practically everyone else, but has forgotten Yi Ningzhe alone.

Yi Ningzhe: “That’s not remotely believable, but it doesn’t matter. I can play along.”

After Meng Jian loses his memory, Yi Ningzhe brazenly moves back into his place, sharing his room and his bed.

Yi Ningzhe’s excuse: “I’m here to help you recover your memory.”

Meng Jian reluctantly agrees. “Since you’re my boyfriend, living together should be reasonable, right?”

Several months later, one day...

Meng Jian suddenly wakes up and looks down to see Yi Ningzhe lying beside him without any clothes on.

And he’s naked too.

As usual, before even opening his eyes, Yi Ningzhe pulls him close and gives him a hard kiss, then murmurs in his ear, “Baby, get some more sleep.”

Meng Jian smacks him on the neck. “Yi Ningzhe, didn’t I tell you to give my key back? How did you get in?”
