Yokohama's Number One Cat Cafe

Retired Sword Master Natsume Ritsu obtains a license to bring swords into the present day.

Not long after, he decides to return with his swords and open a cat cafe,

so he can see which stray kitties haven't been kidnapped yet (crossed out)...

On the first day, a calico cat pays a visit to the cat cafe beneath the Armed Detective Agency.

Natsume Ritsu thinks this is a promising start,

so he feeds the cat some homemade "delicious" cat food.

After one bite, the calico bolts away like a whirlwind,

leaving behind a heartbroken sword master turned to stone.

Victim, Teacher Natsume: I was just curious what someone with the same surname as mine was like. One bite of dried fish almost sent me tumbling into the Sanzu River...

In the days that follow,

a Ragdoll cat starts painting works of art;

a big orange tabby reads books while soothing a child;

a golden shaded cat gets petted so much every day that it looks forward to clocking out on time;

a Maine Coon would love to rush out and cook in his place;

a Lionhead cat is always breaking various machines;

a...

And so, with one exasperated Maine Coon in his left hand and one puffed-up Lionhead cat in his right, while a whole crowd of cats around him works out (fights), cat fur flies everywhere.

In this happy life with cats, Natsume Ritsu sneezes, then contentedly narrows his eyes.

Until one day, a leopard cat who often appears in his dreams suddenly transforms into a man, looking almost exactly like a certain "suicide expert."

Natsume Ritsu: "Hmm...?"

Boss Dazai: "Tell me, in my world, how could I make you mine...?"

Natsume Ritsu gives him a faintly amused look. "Mr. Tsushima, please don't make an invitation to open a cat cafe in your world sound so scandalous."

As soon as he finishes speaking, the cats behind the man all wear strange, conflicted expressions. Some are even gloating.

Reader advisory:

1. The pairing is Boss Dazai x Natsume Ritsu. His relationship with the other cats is that of a cat owner and his cats.

2. The characters and plot are extremely OOC. The author's intelligence is limited, so if anything seems off, run for the hills (don't hesitate for even a moment).

3. This is a crossover, mainly Bungo Stray Dogs, with Touken Ranbu, Detective Conan, Jujutsu Kaisen, and others.

4. Important! The main Bungo Stray Dogs world is separate at first, and the worlds only gradually merge later on.

5. The plot and daily life each take up about half the story (with more plot). This isn't purely a cute-cat story, and it includes plenty of original worldbuilding. The cats don't appear in chronological order.

6. Updates daily, usually at 6 p.m. If anything comes up, I'll let you know in advance.

Finally, I hope you enjoy reading. Thank you!

I'd also like to recommend my upcoming story, The Great Teacher Ayatsuji Is Playing a Role (the pairing is confirmed to be none; this will be my next story). The protagonist, Ayatsuji Yukito, is from the Bungo Stray Dogs spin-off.
