If she wants to retire early and buy a house out in the Tennessee countryside to enjoy life, what does it matter if she has to attend banquets every few days, or gets caught in a sniper attack alongside her boss every so often? As long as she works hard enough overtime and hustles hard enough, she'll definitely retire early.
That's what Lilith thought as she narrowly survived yet again.
And besides, sometimes she even found a guy in a black cape on her way home from working late?

Banquets and parties are unavoidable in her line of work. At every one, Lilith would get targeted by someone's gaze. Was somebody trying to poach her? Had her work skills really become so famous?
She wouldn't be opposed to switching jobs. Young Master Wayne, if you don't make me an offer soon, I'm going to become Black Mask's right-hand woman.
Tim kept his eyes on the person who had once saved him. Was this her fourth boss in the past year? Did she make a point of picking bosses who were on their last legs? Tim was puzzled, but he kept it to himself. He waited for her to strike up a conversation, certain from the way she looked at him that she wouldn't be able to hold back for long.
Tim realized that she wasn't just at the banquets. She seemed to be everywhere in his nighttime vigilante life, too. Wherever there was crime, whether at a bank or the docks, she was there.
Lilith was at a loss, too. She could only blame Gotham's bosses for having such a death wish.
