[Western Crossover] Nothing Much in Gotham Today

"I miss you. I think of the time when night fell and we walked beneath the stars together; I think of the leaves lit by streetlights as we walked through their shifting shadows; I think of the moments when I had something to say but couldn't, and how I was with you. You are my comrade, and that's why I miss you. When I cross through all that has dragged me down and march toward eternity, you are my banner."

1. "I can give you a chance to be reborn. Come with me."

Otilia was a child picked up by the League of Assassins. She had no origin and no past, only the drive to charge headlong into the unknown. She also came with an atypical bad-boy little brother.

"If you want, you can live with us."

A dark-haired man said this to Otilia, the delivery girl, when he came to pick up his son. She was brought into a kind of life she'd never known before: family, companions, fighting together, friends, warm food, and soft blankets...

"You've slept long enough. Get up, Sleeping Beauty. It's our turn."

Nothing much was happening in Gotham today. The only news was that, amid beautiful sunshine, a gentle breeze, and tender affection, a girl had found her true self.

2. "So, what did you think when you first saw me?"

"I had just woken up that night. When I came downstairs, there was a green-eyed girl who started laughing as soon as she saw me. I thought, 'This girl is so brave. She has no idea where she's ended up.'"

"And what about later?"

"If I could go back, I'd tell that guy he should have kissed you the first time he saw you. He had no idea who he'd just met."

As the black-haired, blue-eyed young man spoke, he leaned gently toward the girl nestled in his arms. His lips were almost touching her cheek when she blocked him with one finger.

"Don't even think about it, you idiot Drake."

He chuckled softly. "I was only joking, dear lady."

*This is my first story. My style may be inconsistent, so please don't be harsh if you dislike it. I'm terrible at blurbs, so please bear with me.

*OOC is mine, the happy ending belongs to the Batfamily, and Timmy drank the timeline with his coffee.

*DC crossover, mainly Gotham. Slow burn, with a bit of everything early on.

*The pairing is set: Timothy Drake. His characterization follows his Red Robin solo series.

Theme: Finding yourself and realizing your worth
